This was mostly based on VH1's best I thru in Grateful Dead.
I had sixth row loge seat for Led Zepplin love Zepplin, fave has to be the beatles. yet I love Aretha Franklin and soooo many more. I just love music The Boss , Clint Black, Rod Stewar, Elton. I wouldn't call all those bands Rock N Roll bands. At least Pink Floyd is progressive rock and Michael Jackson is not rock at all, but pop.
Out of the list I'd choose Pink Floyd, but my favorite band is Genesis, (old and new).

I chose the beatles as they are very talented and diverify and do not stick to one genre, they are able to mix all into one fulcrum of power and art,

Sorry my friend, but you are lost in the Space about music... at first, Where is "YES"? ... second, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, are different Historical moments, different Technology, and certainly is not a balanced list because if Michael Jackson deserves a place here, then where is Elvis Presley, and you missed NEIL ARMSTRONG, LOL...
in my personal taste, impossible to elect one... this is my list, enjoy....
