Sometimes we meet a person and we know from the start that our friend would love her/him. Your friend is in need of someone and she/he is the perfect match. Have you ever "experimented" her/him first before "passing" her/him to your friend? Is this consider cheating? Did you feel a slight guilt?

I hope it is not cheating because I do this all the time. While I am not very good at playing cupid - I am excellent at getting people I care about good jobs. So my best girl friend says consider getting her a loving and good man hard work.
She is young, very beautiful, smart, funny, and has a great job. I found a wonderful respectable gentleman lined up - except he is in another country..... like I said my skills at cupid are lacking.

Is it like test-driving someone else´s future BF/GF?? I have trouble wrapping my head round this concept...

Yikes a rootie - I better read the poll before jumping in - I would not experiment with him first - just met him. 'Cause I am not that kind of girl..... to often....

The thread is actually about getting the man (you found would match your friend) to yourself first before revealing your intentions. I mean, sleeping with a guy you had the intention to match your friend with, does that make you feel guilty when realising that you and him have nothing in common?

Are men really so stupid to allow themselves to be passed around like that??
The mind boggles - I find the whole idea completely bizarre. But then again, I´ve always been pretty straight-laced when it comes to friendships and relationships...

It has never crossed my mind but its made me think of a new money making scheme. "We try your new man 1st" Money back guarantee if hes useless in the sack.

And a person that dated two friends subsequently? How can you be sure that he/she didn't have his/her eyes on the other friend all the way through his first relationship? "I will date Ana first because she is soon leaving and then I will date Lisa...I know she is strongly attracted to me and I know she has nobody"

I have met people whom I have thought would be better suited to one of my friends, so the first thing I'd do was tell them that, and if they were amenable, arrange an introduction.
Once I'd have that thought about someone, it would never get to a stage where I'd entertain them on any level, as a date, or prospective partner, or even as a friend.
I tend to stay completely clear of anyone who would have a notion of me, and not me of them. You can hurt people that way.
