ColonelBogey: I think that the biggest mistake some people make is taking things too seriously too soon. Approaching, chatting, meeting and getting to know should be fun and casual and not forced. When I split from my ex I joined a pay dating site, created a very detailed profile about who and what I am and who I was looking for.I presumed that I would find my ideal match from that and conducted myself too seriously. From that I met a few women who where utterly not for me after long discussions. I think that we all evolve in this online dating mallarky and eventually work out a strategy that works for us. But a big mistake is falling for someone too quickly too soon before ever meeting. 80% is attraction and chemistry that you only feel once meeting.
justlove1966: I think it is not hard it is the way you present yourself the first time.
Last night joined a site, pic approved today, had 185 mails. Have not got through them yet, but in the 30 I replied to have 5 dates, 4 for coffee and one for the movies. Not bad for an old chick eh! None of them as old as me either, all under the 50! I am chuffed. So its not so hard if you put your mind to it.
Ccincy: To some people being perfect matters more then most things. If only some people would accept others for who they are.
I agree, people need to wake up and see the other side!
I would go crazy with a perosn that would be perfect because I am NOT ONE!! I am a creative mind that has both side both sides of her brain working and it would kill me to be with a simple perfect person!

The troble with online thingy is that people are not serious enough. They just are bored, and want something to do . My exsperience is every thing is lovely until you ask to meet for coffee or something then the fright sets inof the reality, and they run like hell

I prefer quality over quantity. And I can not get my head around how anyone can make any sort of judgment on so many people in such a short space of time regarding them being dating material? Is this the American way?
