ya and if they would just give it a chance they would find out my daughter is 14 and very self reliant, No trouble, great kid and I dont need a mom for her, she has one already, All I want is a partner for me who can be a friend to my daughter. Is that so much to ask?

Actually the same can be said of men having baggage like kids, and grandkids and they expect a woman to take a back seat. How about pets? People put their pets before a person they love. Not to mention the chip on their shoulders (both men and women) they carry because of a divorce. And yes the older men do get bored with barby or barby gets bored with them once they run out of money.

I can appreciate the bit about the fear of growing older being a total turn off, but that seems to be the North American hang-up regarding age; not so in Europe. We all know we will and so what...all perfectly natural from the day that we are born. For myself, personally, I find it is usually the persona that so many seem to effect that is a total turn-off, then that very negative "been there, done that" altitude which is both a rejection of any hopes for a relationship or of any positive attitudes towards life; everything, everyone is a 'has been'...who needs that.

Some men can never handle a woman who sees all the games, lines, subterfuges and cliches... I mean really
, haven't we heard them all? It takes a 'man' to see beyond cliches.I've always had this theory that the guys who seek the really young are usually the very worst in bed and are hoping a young one won't notice while being dazzled with the trinkets.
Men on the other hand, of whatever age, who are comfortable in their man skins, who really like women in all their variations as individuals and partners, end up being extremely talented in bed precisely because of knowing how to appreciate us mentally and physically.... and usually have no problems with whatever age.. because they follow personality and pheromones not just window dressing. That's the difference between a delightful grownup and a pot bellied scrawny assed ol'boy who never did. JMHO

That sourpuss stick-in-the-mud attitude is mostly what I see in the men a little older or even my own age here! As to women wanting to try new things, there are a lot of younger women who are unwilling to do that too you know.
Some of us women become even more adventurous when we're older. I tried new things when I was young, but there are things I am going to try now that I would have never done in my early twenties (the last time I was single):
Like starting over completely alone in a foreign country (instead of taking the safe option of going back to the USA where my family and old friends are there as a safety net.)
Riding on a motorcycle -- which I would have not done back in my college or high school days. Now, I figure, life is short and I have nothing to lose.
Going on a wild girl's weekend in Barcelona clubbing til dawn with the younger hotties.
Life is for living, and with so many years behind me I'm making the ones I have now and ahead of me count.
