fly I thought Canada of all places had standards...Canadians believe in programs that help foster children's education and protection...the Children's Aid Society failed miserably to provide quality checks/inspections but most notable...they didn't do background checks on these monsters...they didn't look at their own files...how incompetent is that!!...having said that...my province has one of the worst records in child protection...we are spending less on our children regarding safety...

nam Human right violations happens around the world...and I do have an understanding of what goes on in Iran...diplomacy not sanctions are the way to change their stance...sanctions hurt common folk...and in turn their government uses the sanctions as a means of spreading their anti West rhetoric...no one wins...
lind The project for cleaner fuel would be a great idea and the incentive you suggested sounds good...wind power and solar power seems viable...many people living off the grid...did you ever see the blog about people being fined because they were self sufficient?...at any rate...politics always a hot topic of conversation...just watching a clip about Hillary...
lind I see this from a different angle...make a conscious effort to restore a relationship with Iran...and remove sanctions...the citizens will be happy and less likely to burn the American flag... or indulge in religious extremism...freedom of speech for some is a hard concept to envision...to be jailed for having opposing views...we can demonstrate/vocalize without fear of reprisal...others not so blessed...
nam Canada didn't place sanctions on Cuba...the US respected that decision...the deceased Prime Minister Trudeau was friends Castro!!...and believed the Cuban people would suffer needlessly from sanctions not the people in charge...now the US is now building/restoring a relationship with Cuba...things can change for the better...at least I hope...
lind I know you are very passionate about the current situation...but I do hope we will find some good in this deal...to squelch the fire sort to speak...my understanding is that Iran must be willing to agree with the parameters/limitations that the EU wants...will they comply is the question... Here is to hoping...
nam Yes...we are dependent nation...that is too true...but that does not oblige Canadians to always agree with our neighbor...I have a feeling that the Republicans will win the election...will the deal go through?...
