Whatever stage of whatever age the earth is in now, there's no denying that the destruction of the rain forests, palm oil plantations, killing wildlife etc. and human greed and pollution (on the surface) is upsetting the delicate ecosystem like never before because it's all man made.
And the growing population that is living longer is only adding to the need for more food and resources that we rely on the earth to provide us with. If temperatures heat up too much, crops won't be able to be grown and more extreme weather will make some parts of the globe inhabitable - as is already happening. I reckon in 100 years time we'll have wiped ourselves out completely or there will be another war where people battle to live in the least polluted parts. Doom and gloom awaits us all maybe!
You're funny, Nothing like being prepared and you can't blame the thoroughness of the forms and procedures to prevent terrorism.
I think eating out is always more expensive so if you can cook for yourself you'll save a lot. Maybe you could create some dehydrated space food to smuggle inside your hand luggage? No need to buy any food then and it already sounds like you're planning a trip to another planet!
But I still don't like you (and never did).. I don't like wire brush nasal hairs sticking out in public displays of nasal hair display... Naaahhhh, just forget it.
Very true words. Maybe we could categorise 'greed' in to good greed and bad greed? Good greed is an industry and manufacturing operation which provides jobs for the local economy and hence keeps a country (or parts of it going) in the capitalist way which is necessary.
Then you get the greedy junk food eating idiots who create all the excess packaging, stupid kids and idleness - because they eat too much in the greedy way? Hypocrites or what!
Why else is it still (for important things) 'sign on the dotted line...' Despite all the internet stuff, a person's signature is still required using a good old fashioned pen!
I've had loads of embarrassing experiences from being occasionally drunk because I don't drink enough to have a tolerance to it. I'll drink a bit and then just function but some of the memories are blacked out. No trouble though as I drink with good people. Happy drunk is nice!
What happened after she'd finished dancing with you? (Or maybe I shouldn't ask! )
Good for you pal! Drinking in moderation is what they say 'socially acceptable' and has its place but no-one would blame you for not wanting to go near the stuff after what you have witnessed.
Seeing other people ruin their lives is its own deterrent it seems! (that's lemonade in that glass!)
It's all really sad about these people you knew but I wonder at what point did they become so controlled by the alcohol, instead of them being in control of it?
To me it seems alcoholism is a dependence on something that for 'most people' is just a social experience when they may have a few drinks at the weekend or at some function or other and it's not out of control.
Self control costs nothing and is down to an individual. Nobody forces people to become obese by eating too many cakes or junk food, like the saying 'you dig your grave with your teeth'. Or in these cases 'I'll pickle my liver and die regardless.'
I think your pictures are really funny! I can't stand Facebook (it's dangerous!) and the Google octopus type thing is, how does one say it? "Far Out Man"
RE: One Eyed singers...
Yes, I read that some time ago, just didn't want to come across as a know-all pedantic bore, heh heh!At least her patch was for a real complaint and not a fake poser patch!!
Wonder if there are any one-legged singers?
