Cap Just a reminder that on blogs all opinions are welcomed...it is a discussion that requires all sides whether you like those who disagree with you or not...a balanced discussion is always appreciated...and although I disagree with you on some issues...it would be untrue to say that you have not made some good points...
Ken I suspect Trump didn't think his craziness would resonate with the public...he did support the Clintons...and was probably pro choice...including other democratic ideologies...perhaps this was a ruse at first...but funny how the public tolerates such baffonery...
I think he should still keep to his reality TV programs and leave politics to the professionals...but I do think this charade has woken up the very people who have not listened to the average American people...

The Canadian government to of the past refused to open up an inquiry...talked of fear of national security, criticized the niqab during court or ceremonial procedures...in short he lost the election...
It is not naivety that changed the old guard but a better way of handling problems...easier to be at conflict...harder to find common ground...but finding friendship/common ground is worth it...people live and find a way to cohabitate without bloody conflict...
Cap I must be living in a dream...few Moslems have been wearing the traditional garb in Canada but those who do are very sweet people...not exposed to the fundamentalism/extremismat all...perhaps Canada is on the right track...or perhaps Canada is not so much a threat at all...we are not known for aggression...we are of little importance...but we are known for peace keeping...

I Do not think we have a huge difference about human rights but just how we apply them...mine is let's us talk and examine the pros and cons...yours is rather abrupt and conflicting...people need to feel safe...a niqab is a reasonable device...have you walked in their shoes?...not a perfect world but I suspect getting better acquainted with others holds the key...politics aside...

As for Hillary...she may not be everyone's cup of tea but I suspect...the wake up call has been served for every politician no matter what ever side...people are disillusioned...and nothing is worse than seeing the US not rising out of its economic slump...but Obama faired as well as expected...how can he be effectual when GOP blocks his every move?...

Cap Did watch your video post...I find this matter rather complex...if a woman prefers a niqab...why should I oppose it?...if we didn't mess with their politics and resources...they would be as progressive as the West...it was fundamentalists/extremists that capitalized on urging of its people to hating US or England or other western countries that took advantage of the middle east or the Persian areas that led to this conflict...
We did do a disservice to Iran and Iraq as an example...meddling in their lives for profit...and the people rebelled...but not in a democratic way...
Fundamentalism was born from the West...try and find the documentary from a Iranian woman who interviewed the late Shaw of Irans wife...very good look into the conflict on both sides...
I think the GOP have not listened to its constituents...leading up to thinking Trump will be their saviour...trouble is...Trump has no skills in politics...sad to see the GOP has no real candidates that everyone can smile confidently at...the lesser evil as a way of endorsing Cruz or Trump...
The problem lies with corporate donations...nothing good can come out of it...the top 1 % have it made...but leave the rest of the citizens suffering...
Problem is Trump will suit himself first as he did with his casinos...bankruptcy and other situations like the vendors that had lost 30% of their money due to strong arm tactics...and money that was owed but never received on time...that hurts the small business man not to mention the people who lost jobs due to his mismanagement. ..look for articles in Newsweek or other media that can be trusted...
