Advertising has put such a strong emphasis on the health of our children that some people view milk commercials as more of a public service announcement than an attempt to sell a product. These ads have told us "Milk is a Natural," "Everybody Needs Milk," "Milk is the Perfect Food," etc. This advertising has served its purpose well because the average American consumes 375 pounds of dairy products a year. One out of every seven dollars spent on groceries in the U.S. goes to buy dairy products.
But to gauge the full impact of this promotion, we must consider more than just the dollar amount spent on dairy products. We must also consider the impact this massive advertising, promotion, lobbying, "nutritional education" and public relations effort has had by creating a widely-held perception of cow's milk as a very wholesome and healthy product. This promotion has been so effective that it is common for even people who give up meat to still feel that they should continue consuming dairy products to ensure they receive sufficient protein or calcium. People buy cow's milk for their families based on the premise that this product provides essential nutrition, helps to build a healthy body, and that indeed, their precious health may be in jeopardy if they do not drink milk. If this is the premise on which Americans spend an incredible chunk of their grocery bill to provide for the health and nutrition of their loved ones, we need to further examine this premise. Despite what the dairy industry has led us to believe, many medical doctors and nutritionists are now saying that cow's milk is not healthy for human consumption, and that it can lead to many serious diseases. When you look at the credentials of the doctors making these statements, it would be hard for the dairy industry to accuse these physicians of being on the lunatic fringe of the medical world.
Ladybee42 Intelligent people first investigate "the topic" and than make comments if they have any. Cow's milk is promoted as the "perfect food" for humans, and especially for our children.
Now my simple question to you is: Are we are Cows?
Lazl, I just wanted to let you know that I love milk, but unfortunately those are the TRUE facts, many prominent medical doctors are now saying dairy consumption is a contributing factor in nearly two dozen diseases of children and adults. Doctors say cow's milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia, allergies, diarrhea, heart disease, colic, cramps, gastrointestinal bleeding, sinusitis, skin rashes, acne, increased frequency of colds and flus, arthritis, diabetes, ear infections, osteoporosis, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and more, possibly even lung cancer, multiple sclerosis and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. :(,
Jade if you have Foot Odor here is the recipe for ya :)
TEA BATH: This is an old trick and it works for most people...
1) Put a foot soaking basin on the floor (and a towel). Add one quart of cool water to the basin. 2) Boil a separate quart of water. 3) After it boils, turn off heat. Put four tea bags in the water & give it a stir. 4) Let the tea bags steep for ten to fifteen minutes - the tea cannot be too strong (the stronger the better). 5) Pour “Foot Tea” into the basin of cool water. 6) Soak feet for 30 minutes in warm to cool tea. 7) Repeat this daily for one week - Make a fresh batch everyday.
Afterwards, most people only have to repeat this maybe once or twice monthly. You just have to see how it works for you. You can do the same if you have sweaty palms - soak your hands too. The tannins have a drying effect and also kill the odor causing bacteria. Also, be sure to give your shoes a rest - Don't wear the same shoes two days in a row. Wash your feet with an antibacterial soap and dry them well the rest of the time. I haven't had foot odor since, and only had to use it once! Hope this helps
morgenulv, well the message can be interpreted in two different ways. u are saying that your message has another connotation apart from the literal that you wrote above, Right?
You may find that it is better and healthier for you to keep your distance from negative people such as your brother-in-law, and to speak to him only when you have to. Whenever you think of him, remember to send him loving thoughts and blessings, otherwise, if thinking of him brings up negative thoughts for you, then that will rob you of your power, and will lower your energy and vibration. If you are face-to-face with a negative person, it can be helpful to physically move away, take a step back and create some distance where you can reclaim your power and personal space, because negative people often have no boundaries, and have no respect for other people's boundaries.
When you encounter negative energy, envision yourself holding up a shield that is a mirror, which deflects the negativity and protects you from it. Detach yourself from the negativity, allowing yourself to simply be an observer and bystander without being engaged in it. Think of it like watching a play from the balcony, where it can be almost amusing and entertaining, rather than being caught up in the drama that is unfolding on stage.
If you find that you have taken on negative energy or negative thoughts and emotions, imagine that they are sandbags holding down your balloon. As you release each of these negative thoughts and feelings, you let go of a sandbag so your balloon can become lighter and lighter until it is able to fly.
The way to really overcome negativity is to rise above it, so shake it off and choose light thoughts and light emotions. Laughter is the fastest way to raise your vibration, so try to find some humor in the situation. The Universe is full of humor, if we do not take life personally or seriously; every situation can have its humorous or positive side, if we are willing to look for it and to see it from that perspective. Love and joy promote wellbeing and life-force, so live well, laugh often, and love much - even in the presence of negative people. Your love and joy might raise them up instead of their negativity bringing you down.
