we just use an old model T coil, or an old hand crank telephone with a couple wires and a net..no bang, but the fish always come to the surface and say "hello"
use a bait caster with spider wire and a steel leader, then slice fresh porter house steak real thin and weave it over your hook. the fish cant get the bait off as easily so they just grab and run with it
