Hi diamondwillows, my heart pours out to you, I've been there and it sux! My daughter is going thru the same same thing. All I can say is don't give up trying to find another job, something is gonna pan out sooner or later. Use as many job finder resources available and get your resume. Out there. Another idea is to look into temporary staffing services, they're free and they sometimes offer permanent positions. I did it for a while and it actually worked out really well for me. Keep the faith and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Townsend, I must say I do enjoy your blogs, always meaningful! I am very happy to say that I have a circle of 5 girlfriends I've known over 20 years and each & every one of us have been there for each other and have never had any falling-outs. I am very blessed to have them be a part of my life because good friends are hard to find and to keep. They are also important to have. I love them all dearly!

Hi RoofusX, maybe not the most original idea but maybe you could tell her you're aware that she is often asked out & turns down, but if she gave you just one chance to prove you're different from the rest, she won't regret it.?
