If you had the legal act ruled about it, then the evidences are collected and cleared, then, like Non mentioned, it is depend on the judicial system in the country. If the have a good governance, they might likely to win the case. However, in some country, where the system is still weak, this could be hard to win, and even harder if the suspect is such a powerful and a public figure. He has the money and the power to influence the law and the court system. Best of luck for your friend and the children. They need more support from families and friends.

I've been thru this and the fact is people in situation you've mentioned above also knew the answer. It is not the issue if they are ready or not ready to admit it, it is more if they are willing to face and take the risk of their decision. All decision had the consequences. Some people just not really a risk taker. Its all depend on the person.
