Lindsay some of us are having it tooo good. Kids get too much. Go to your room, what a joke. He has a TV, computer, his cell phone etc. there. When growing up in Holland we were taught to have respect for our elders. Staff in stores were polite. No longer so. I asked in one store if the zippers displayed came in black. Hands in her sides she told me that is she had them, it would have been out there. I could go on...... In Holland it was, yes sir, no sir and it seems to me that today the staff goes out of its way to show they may have to wait on you, but they are not any less then you. We had coffee in the mall and one seat was unoccupied at our table. Several kida plopped themselves in them not asking if it was okay.
Staff on the phone are less polite these days Why? Good question. Overworked?
When I see for instance kids in Africa they are always smiling they are always so clean looking. Go to a mall and watch the people, who smiles and who is dressed somewhat nice? It looks like few seem to care anymore.

Never heard my parents tell us kids that they loved us. They took care of us so that meant they must have loved us. They just never said it. It took me a long time to say it too my sisters it felt very strange to say it. Yep there are many kinds of love. It was easier to tell my husband that I loved him then to say it too my siblings.
