Beards can be aging on a lot of men, especially young guys with foot long straggly ones, but a tidy one can look distinguished. Your mum may have a point about looking younger without it, but it's your face so your choice, so a haircut works fine - peace indeed.
Mapmaker, I have a deal with my neighbour- he picks my olives and we share the oil between us (I think!) and I give some to friends. As you say, it's wonderful straight from the trees and although I don't eat the olives themselves the oil has a variety of uses not just for cooking. We could have an "Oil off" competition between your oil and mine !
My first real boyfriend at 16 was in the Navy, and oh the anticipation of waiting for a letter and receiving it. I think those were doused in Brut actually from my sailor boy, and probably a dab of Charlie on mine with a lipstick kiss The letters continued for the months he was away and I eagerly awaited his return, needless to say the romance was shortlived when he was back in person and didn't live up to the image but it was lovely while it lasted ::lips:
I love receiving a letter, so much more thought and feeling has gone into it, even when it's from your brother not your lover. Text is ok mostly, but sometimes if short it can be ambiguous and the meaning is lost, misconstrued or downright unfathomable !
I'm avidly awaiting part 2 then. The art of kissing deserves its own section, please infer that it does not always initiate foreplay, women liked to be kissed often and in various formats. If only versed in with or without chewing gum, a kissing lesson with a Meditteranean man will show you how it's done thoroughly through to tenderly and could be a lifechanging experience.
If Kavanaugh has a Narcissistic personality he can be very convincing as the wronged party even when they are not, and rewrite events in their head so that they come out of it squeaky clean. They often use all the tactics available, cry, shout, involve other parties - even their children for pity's sake, to make it look more convincing. He has a lot to lose on the table here, I may well be wrong on this but I think he is showing a lot of traits of lying behaviour. I feel very sorry for his family being put through this, they should keep the children out of it altogether.
I agree with the lady above, it is harder in some ways to find a likeminded mate as you get older, but not impossible. However I feel that the more you seek the less you will find, so like yourself I have been feeling disillusioned with the whole dating process, and only the fact that I know some people who have struck lucky has me checking in here again. I would say to keeping your mind, and eyes ! open for making new friends and possible dates through your normal activities or work and avoid the bars and nightlife if that's not your scene. Although I like live music and socialising, I will only go to events with a group of friends and feel that the nightlife is more of a meat market, either people are looking for an encounter or will assume that you do too. So don't be discouraged, there are plenty of ladies out here who would appreciate an honest, caring, reliable guy and hope one day to find one ! The benefit of being of more mature years means that we look further than just the outside packaging, unfortunately a large percentage of men in my age group think they can hook up with a twenty something but I would like to be able to have conversation and humour and be on the same wavelength, but ultimately be yourself above all else.
