Dr. Ford's opening statement and a new 4th (anonymous) accusation
After studying the many accusations, I'm beginning to suspect, that it's possible that Kavanaugh is an alcoholic, who does not remember his actions when drunk, and those actions are shocking, perhaps even to him.Either way, take a listen to the new development and Dr. Ford's powerful (partial) opening statement.

Kavanaugh is not only finished for the appointment.
He is finished being a judge.
Brett Kavanaugh better do some fast talking.
I do believe this isn't really going to change much, everyone has already made up there mind on how they will vote.
Just my thinking at the moment.
A credible accuser...a detailed account of what happened...Kavanaugh looked like a guilty man...trying to get out of a mess...his face tells it all...
Kavanaugh stated "whatever the hearings decide", but when asked again for his "personal" preferance,
he seemed very reluctant to have the FBI involved.
Trump has learned, that no president can control the FBI.
If y'all claiming the judge won't be confirmed are right, here's your opportunity to cash in on your acumen.
Simply put y'all's money where your months are...
Synopsis -
At the time Di-Fi laid out her case, odds makers gave the judge no more than a 40% chance of being confirmed... actually a bit less.
Odds of confirmation began to rise as Dr. Ford gave her presentation.
At the end of the judge's presentation, his odds more than doubled - 80%.
The last I've seen, they've leveled off a mite to about 75%.
@ 75% - Y'all will get lonnnggg odds & can really clean up on this thing
Sen. Flake has come off the fence - will vote to confirm.
Odds of confirmation are likely to lengthen
No-confirmation bets will pay off handsomely
Assuming the judge is not confirmed, of course
Sens. Collins & Murkowski remain uncertain, the last I saw.
...
what a circus.
It may be a comedy show, but certainly makes you think, and question the suitability of Kavanaugh
Get those Dems who don't normally vote to vote.
Get out and bloody vote in November!~
As it stands, it's 'she said - he said'
No prosecutor would take it to trial with nothing more than the perceived credibility of the accuser saying it.
It would be unwinnable - perhaps unpresentable...defense would move to dismiss on the grounds of lack of evidence; judge would most likely concur & grant defense motion for dismissal.
End of story
Observation of the interviewed lawyer...
This allegedly occurred about six miles from her home.
She almost certainly was given a ride home, as she was under age for a driver's license.
If the person who drove her home could be located/would come forward...
In the words of the lawyer giving the assessment, "Just that alone would be a slam dunk witness. It would at minimum be something beyond what 'she said' to support Dr. Ford'a assertion that something actually occurred."
As it now stands, that slam dunk witness hasn't been located nor come forward.
If it was assessed that crucial by a lawyer on an interview program, we might presume significant resources have been expended to locate him/her or encourage him/her to come forward.
Given the amount of time that has passed, it is also possible the driver is deceased.
In the absence of anything more than 'she/they say - he says' this has reached legal limbo...or stalemate.
Interesting blog fodder? Yes.
But still - legal limbo...or stalemate.
No, it's nowhere near the "end of the story". It's just the beginning.
Yes, "as it stands now". However, we haven't heard from the other witnesses yet and whatever else
the FBI uncovers.
:
I feel that as soon as the weeks over Kavanaugh will get voted in.
Odds fluxuate in Vegas for Kavanaugh's confirmation - Des Moines Register
The Des Moines Register › 2018/09/28
"Asking whether Kavanaugh will be confirmed, the Nevada sportsbook Bovada had odds Thursday morning at +115 for 'Yes', meaning a $100 wager would net $215. A 'No' bet carried odds of -145.
"By 1 p.m., Bovada's moneyline for Kavanaugh's confirmation had moved to +130 for 'Yes' and -160 for 'No'. But during Kavanaugh's testimony, the 'Yes' line shifted to -150, making him a favorite to be confirmed to the high court."
...
Kavanaugh is not the Choir boy he claims at the meeting...others have different experiences from his behaviour...not to mention his yearbook in question...it shows his mentality at that time...his questioning at the meeting showed his indignation...Jim could be correct in understanding that Kavanaugh was at that time a person with an alcohol problem...he may have not remembered the said events...including Mark Judge...
Why the rush...if an FBI investigation can clear him...let it run its course...furthermore...if he will pardon Trump or dismantle the Roe versus Wade bill...his character is in question...not to mention that judges are lifelong appointees and should be non-partisan...in his speech...Kavanaugh was accussing the Democrats of foul play...hardly non-partisan...
