Yes, searching for more good things would be a great start...If we could all do that, I'm sure many more good things will come... oops, too early for beer here...
Not hard to please at all It's just that those "manservant' are too soft and too nice ...I could easily wrap them around my little finger...they will bore me...
It's a tradition between me and my son...and I think his little sister will be a part of it too as I already bought lots of presents for her
My ex- is very open-minded when it comes to this thing...very respectful of other's belief and culture and Yazan is very much like him...we used to attend Christmas parties and bring presents too
Yes, we celebrate way too early in the Philippines...I remember glueing Christmas lights on our gates and around the wall...I would get a lot of burns from the glue gun before I could finish glueing the word Merry Christmas...then we would hang colorful lights and plastic wrappers filled with colorful liquids...we hang lanterns and decorate our tree way too early...we usually replaced lights many times before christmas day and all christmas decors will be very dusty by Christmas day
I have lots of happy Christmas memories...by month of September, we started to feel the spirit of Christmas back home in Philippines...it's time for family.
I was a Catechist when I was a teenager, I used to gather children and teenagers and we would sing Chrsitmas Carols from house to house...we would use the money we collected on our Christmas party on Dec 26th...so much fun, so much good memories.
My son is Muslim but he celebrates Christmas with me...he can't experience those fun times I had but he looks forward to putting up our Christmas tree and decorating it...and opening lots of presents every Christmas day...I'm just glad that his dad never mind him celebrating the holiday with me
she's single...not married! I have no idea who puts the mug idea in her head
I never use mugs or glasses in the office kitchen. I bring my own, never let anyone wash it...I always hide my mug and glass in my desk drawer before I go home...
My mug here is a "magic mug" one that shows photos when it's hot...my mug has yazan's photos...really cool
Yes...how much thought that counts. I can just buy a big pack of cigarettes because he smokes but that's not thoughtful enough...just because I drink coffee, she thinks I'll be ecstatic to receive a 2jd mug if she gave me 6 mugs, then I'll be happier
Yes, better luck next time...I just hope she didn't notice my disappointment I know the rest of my colleagues were disappointed too...because there was an awful silent when the mug was revealed there was no happy reaction...except " oh, nice mug..."
If we had the same rule, I'm sure I won't be disappointed and I will get a cheaper present too...but something that is suitable for him, not just any gifts.
Last year I've heard a lot of complains with the same issue...people getting disappointed from the gifts they received...it's not about the gifts, it's the thoughts that count
I joined a group last year and we did that Secret Santa thing, we had 10jds minimum gift limit but we give a little something everyday till the Christmas party...it was fun
Yes, it's useful but the thing is...I got rid of few mugs few days ago as I don't have enough space for all of them in the cupboard...and I could not use everyone of them...I don't think I'll be using this new mug as I have my special mug that I love , it's handle is already broken but I still love drinking my coffee from it...I got rid of some good mug but I'm keeping that one with broken handle
Yes, when a person took time to remember me, I would forever treasure that. All the things that my son gave to me...school projects, his numerous letters of apologies, etc, I treasure them...makes me smile everytime I open that special box and look at those special things he made for me.
