when tracing back the history of the 3 major religions in the world its clear we are killing and hating in the name of the very same God.. I'm sure God/ Jehovah/ Allah is quite ashamed of humanity for what we have done and are still doing in his name
never read the book.. but went to Waldon pond.. where the book was written.. 20 years later I moved into the woods myself.. still haven't read the book.. but could probably write something similar.. when the distractions of a busy life with the constant influence of others is removed from your every day routine you have no choice but to get back to the basics.. and make what you use to mindlessly buy to provide for every day needs.. I think if everyone had to do that for even just a few months out of their lives they would become far less wasteful and more aware of what really matters instead of wanting to be like the people around them
the western world throws away enough edible food each day to feed 10 million people.. and being that for 2 years now the world has consumed more food than it has produced, the act of throwing away food is murder
