To win the war on Terror

I have no disagreement with you in regards to security. Our point of difference is - if the US bleeds itself to death, than we have gained nothing. Our country will be weakened to the point that all of your discussions regarding military or security measures will start to unravel.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, I am having trouble with my business. Why?
One of my investors ended up not being real and did not have the money to invest. If the US runs out of money then basically the military effort will fall apart because of it.

To win the war on Terror

TT, may I also note. I have not criticized the people of the Armed Forces. They have done their duties professionally and correctly. I am criticizing the lack of US policy to win a war on Terror. Without an infrastructure, the US will not stay strong. Many argue it is a third world country now. The US is in serious debt, it has alienated most of the other nations in the world and stands alone. Keep in mind the saying "United we stand, divided we fall"

I am sure you are aware that Stormin Norman believed that Sun Tsu's Art of War is a very valid military article even today. If you weaken a nation through warfare others will attack you and you have lost the war. Right now, all money spent on Foreign Oil ends up being a transfer of wealth, from the United States to investments in Europe, Russia and Asia. The US is becoming weaker while other countries are growing in strength. Please look at who is in Power in Arab Nations, Russia and China. If the US is weakened by our "War on Terror" and the idiotic aspects of "homeland security" - I am referring to BIS legislation which is moving Research and Development out of the US, then its prominence as a major superpower is at an end.

The depreciation of the US dollar has already created a massive overseas investment in the US. Armenians are buying land left and right around my brother-in-law's farm. So guess how the weakening of the US is affecting the average US citizen?

So, the US can continue to follow a "military only" solution. Continue to weaken the American dollar, continue to go into a recession while the rest of the world does not, or we can do something about it. Best regards.

To win the war on Terror

First and foremost to win a war, you have to strengthen the United States internally. This was not done during Vietnam, and look at the results. A divided Nation. The same is happening now.

Ethanol plants are going into place now as we speak. Hereford Texas feed lots are a prime example. This could be encouraged more.

Trains can move people. Electric trains work throughout the world in transporting people with buses and Trams moving them around when they get somewhere.

Everywhere in the world but the United States. My mother is 76, still drives because there is no public transportation. But she should not be driving, but has no choice. In Europe, Japan, India, Russia, etc, - people her age can get around effectively on the Trams and buses.

Cars are still used, but public transportation is heavily used also. You should ask, why we do not have any domestic policy to win the war on terror and strengthen the infrastructure of the USA.

When Dreams become a nightmare,

Let me rephrase that - short term issues are frikkin impossible! wow

When Dreams become a nightmare,

Life is still strange. Many things have happened since I first posted this blog. I was able to improve on a design concept for a special solar thermal glass which blocks heat from the sun while working as a antireflective glass at all angles for Ultraviolet and Visible light. There are some major industrial groups Photronics, Applied Materials that I am in discussion with and I have a new Director of Business Development in Dubai. We have initial contact with MASDAR, Abu Dubai Future Energy Company along with discussions with other Venture Capital groups.

But this does not translate yet to the bottom line and short term things are still very difficult.

RE: An Amazing Story

Thanks. thumbs up

RE: WTF!

Man, that is strange. Marriage takes a lot of real work, and it takes time and real effort to get to know someone long distance. Only when you are really sure, should marriage even be considered. Too many kids associated with broken marriages who suffer through the idea that "daddy" does not really want them.

When Dreams become a nightmare,

But the dreams are still there. I am looking for work, yet know that if I truly do not pursue these dreams I will never be whole. Years ago, my dreams got in the way of my first marriage, it slowly ate away at my wife over 15 years that I had not pursued my dreams, to use the talents God had given me in the way I believed I really could.

But it is funny how things work. I went into the semiconductor industry, gave up my dream of working in the alternative energy area. But I was young and still had so much to learn. Over the years I did learn, only now in looking back do I see that the process technology, optics, design and other things I learned over the years makes me who I am.

I also learned who I am, maybe too late. It is sometimes the easiest to give up, but then a little bit of you die. Every time you give up, a little more dies, till finally you do not really care about the people who care about you. I have always cared for my friends, but not enough. It was always myself that I put first. This was a wake up call. One desperately needed.

But I have also realized in waking up, that these dreams are a part of me. I can not ignore them. I can not give up one to save the other because they are intertwined. The lady in my dream needs me to be the lion I really am, otherwise it would hurt her too much to be with me.

In order to pull off dream number 1 big corporations have to be involved. I have been in contact with the people I know there for the last couple of weeks. I still look for work, but one that helps in pursuit of this dream. But I have made a hard decision that I will work to stay in Europe because of dream number 2. Her parents are old . LIving in the US is not an option. It is too far away. It is not easy traveling too an from her country or in her country for that matter. My real desire is to get the financing to pursue dream number 1 because I honestly believe that then both dreams come true. I continue to work at it, but reality right now says it will not be true. Lots of people are talking, but it will take too long.

RE: think you have it bad.2

Are the kids yours? If not, the fact is your prolonging something and not being fair to yourself or her. I learned the hard way about this. I had a girlfriend who became disabled and I put up with a lot of things for a long time with someone I liked but not really loved. I did not put her out of the house because she "had no where to go". But the fact is I was not helping her. Her daughter wanted her to live with her.

By not ending our relationship early, it just continued to cause trouble. She thought we would live together for ever. But I did not want a life with her and allowed myself to be dragged down by the situation, emotionally and financially.

Let her take care of herself. If the kids are not yours, you can feel sorry for them, but don't sacrifice for them. In the end, you will just regret having ever been involved.

RE: I've decided to quit praying.

Hello Mouse. Maybe that is the best thing for you - To quit praying, because you have to be careful what you ask for.

I asked God once for "understanding" at a terrible time in my life. There are many times I regret that prayer was answered. Good Luck.hug

RE: Girls wat do you think of younger guys?

Seems some people don't pay attention to what is written and just look at the pictures.comfort

RE: Think Prince Charming Got Run Over By a Mac Truck

Hi Karka,
Hope things get better for you. Sometimes its best to move on and not worry about it. As we get older we tend to outgrow some of our friends and need to make new ones. Besides "Prince Charming" was always toooo sweet as far as I was concerned. Most of us men like to be Hooligans (or at least a little :-)

Take care, and good luck.cheers

RE: GUNS vs. Women ...what do you think?
