Fargo, a 'loser' is a loser, as in not winning much! And then we can 'loosen' our belts...

When I had a key round my neck as a kid, my dad left a note saying 'don't loose the key'

And I wrote back 'learn to spell, thicko!'

(he didn't like that much!

28 years is an impressively long marriage and you and your wife are just being realistic and honest. I think what you have written here shows what a great understanding two people can have, when faced with one of you having an illness.

She is understanding enough to understand that you still have a life to live and you obviously still have huge respect for each other. I found what you wrote quite moving. Good luck for the future,
