Hey Ginger..I see what you mean. Although I have done so in the past...for a little while...I don't think I could do it on a permanent basis...not at my age anyway!
But...who knows what will happen in the future? We might have to go back and live in nature...again.
I often ask people the same question. I wasn't brought up in a computer/electronics world, so it wouldn't upset me unduly to be living off grid for a few days or weeks even.
But.. one must think of all the other things that run on computers (banks, etc.)???

My non vaxxed friends are doing the same. If I have a gardener then I stay away.
The emergencies here (Red Cross and so on) are not vaccinated. They're the ones telling us not to have physical contact with the vaxxed people. But they are wearing protective gear. I'm not!
As for CS being a "dating site"... Although I've met some very nice and interesting people in the last 8 years, (some up close and personal), I've never met someone I would want to date. They just have too much baggage and many are "lost souls"

My answer to that - if I may - is "what message are you trying to transmit/project?" To which the answer is quite obvious.
As for the personality behind the face, I agree, it is more important than a face but, in this case, the picture gives the first impression.
No picture would certainly create a better impression, in which case we need to rely on the personality alone, which is shown through the way people interact with others on the blogs.
However, if someone wants to prove a point, wearing a mask on their pic will do exactly that, without any words! It's the same as holding a banner or having a tattoo on their forehead saying....whatever...
