People have all sorts of experiences and call some of them "enlightenment". I also had various experiences and insights and achieved an interesting perspective. I know what you are talking about. It's just that I don't believe any more that any of that is "spiritual". I used to believe so in the past. Now I don't. I think that simply certain brains have certain abilities. Some are extraordinary, some are unusual, some are liberating... I can stretch my brain to see everything as one, then everything as empty inside, then everything dissolving itself, so that MANY become NOTHING and then to (non)exist in the silence, but ... it just means that my brain is very stretchy and flexible. Nothing more. This is how I see most of those "spiritual experiences" now...
Humans are the only intelligent species and thus arrogant. We think too highly of ourselves. If we met someone more advanced and intelligent than us, that might be a good lesson and we would become more modest and learn some humility. But, being the only ones, our imagination and the feeling of self-importance run wild. Then, the intelligence is just one part of us. We are often motivated and ruled by other things that we posses - needs, feelings, passions... If fear of death (for example) rules your life, you might suppress your intelligence (and disbelief) and accept anything that will give you at least some sort of comfort and a feeling of security. Too complicated subject for CS blogs!
Thank you. I sometimes struggle with complicated topics when writing in English and wonder if I expressed myself clearly enough. I write much better in my native tongue.
Were you here with another nickname before? Your photo is somewhat familiar to me...
@JimNastics
We still don't know "the truth". We gain knowledge, little by little every day, yet existence itself is very complex and complicated. Humans might be the most intelligent creatures on this planet, but that doesn't mean that our intelligence is very developed or infinite and that we will be able to understand everything despite our attempts. That "unknown" will always inspire our imagination and open the door to all sorts of beliefs. And maybe some of them are not necessarily untrue... Science is - of course - the best tool we have to explore the world and we should continue following that path.

Of course. I'm also interested in spirituality, but I can understand that that type of "solitary spirituality" isn't for everyone. I also don't "need" God. I rarely think about that concept at all. If something like that, some Absolute, "exists" - it's so far from human ability to comprehend that even thinking about IT is - just imagining and telling stories to yourself. So I rather don't do that.
I'm very sorry that you have that problem. I have it, too.
I also live in a building and both people living below me and those living above me are heavy smokers. I can't leave my windows and terrace open when and as long as I would like to. I always have to take care, because they often smoke on the balcony, so the smell comes into my flat.
It's amazing that these people are still alive! I'm sure that each one of them smokes at least 50 cigarettes a day!
I have problems with allergies and this doesn't help at all.
We tend to believe in the ideas that resonate with us.
Some people really can love only once. Some never forget their first love. Some don't ever experience love at all. Some can love many times - even many partners at the same time.
What others say about love doesn't matter. It matters what we think and feel.
And then we can search for a partner who will share our idea of love.
I don't know what you did while I was gone and why they keep banning you, but I was here when you came for the first time as Harbal. You wrote so many funny blogs. British humour at its best! I still remember that video of you dancing in your kitchen you posted once.
