Many folk will shop for integrity first that gets nowhere near closing a deal on the first visit. At times I wouldn't be too quick counting passing minutes as wasted/as sometimes they become the invested for the check.
I sold for quite a few years, had a strong customer base with repeat and referral, I carefully and gently qualified them within minutes of the initial contact. Without them actually knowing the level of commitment they just divulged........Good luck an have fun
