I add about 20% so when a client sais "oh dear..I only have so much". This way I don't loose out. And then visa versa. Should the client pay the correct amount, I will say "20% discount for you today". I run a little key cutting business here and that strategy seems to work.
Hey Cat, I work for a doctor and his practice is an old house which he renovated and fixed up beautifully. Our parking is at the back of the house and you have to go through gates on the side of the practice to get to your car and then drive out. Now, we find that every lunch time and afternoon, some moron parked in front of the gate to go walking around in town and then we are stuck. We have had cases where he had to rush out to the hospital and then cannot get out. We had the road painted (no parking) and put the signs up but still we battle with this problem.
I have lost my best friend whom I have known 25 years and suffered with MS and my daughter's boyfriend lost his brother due to cancer on the same day. Both funerals were also on the same day and it was just too much for me to handle. And a week later my ex's mom passed away.
This is why I have very few friends. I would rather be loyal to my few friends whom I have known for years than have so many friends, I can't even remember all their names. The chance of backstabbing is way less as we have known each other for years and I believe grown up
