RE: Americans

US-led NATO War Games Anger Russia

military exercises held by NATO countries in the Baltic countries began on Saturday in Latvia

HELSINKI — Closed-door diplomatic talks between Finland and Russia have been set in motion to soften Russia’s growing hostility toward and distrust of the Nordic nonaligned states’ ever-deepening relationship with NATO, according to sources within Finland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Moscow’s concern is that Finland could form a joint pact with Sweden to join NATO in coordinated, simultaneous action.

Russian Ambassador to Latvia Alexander Veshnyakov ruled out on Thursday any possibility of an armed conflict breaking out between Russia and any country that is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), especially since it could lead to a nuclear war.

but its good newswave

RE: Americans

though of course the planed NATO exercise in Poland could spill over and Russia and China could get bit pissed about an event like tat

RE: The Aussie election

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has said it would be ‘premature’ for the federal government to follow the state’s lead by investing in Arrium.

Mr Turnbull said the Commonwealth was still waiting for the result of an independent report into the assistance requested from the company’s administrators.

Low interest loans of up to $100 million could be made available for Arrium.

This comes as a federal response to the state government’s announcement of a $50 million rescue package for the Whyalla Steelworks on Thursday.

The state requested that the federal government follow up the announcement with $100 million of their own to support Arrium.

But Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey said the Prime Minister is considering making low interest loans available, rather than a direct investment.

“The government remains open to consideration of further investment for infrastructure support to ensure the steel maker’s long term viability, depending on the advice of an independent report,” he said.

Independent Senator Nick Xenophon has said the ball is now in the federal government’s court following the state government’s $50 million injection to support a new owner of the Whyalla Steelworks.

Senator Xenophon echoed SA Premier Jay Weatherill’s call for a bipartisan commitment from both major parties for funding to support the long-term sustainability of Arrium.

“This would give an immediate boost in confidence to employees, local businesses and the community at large,” he said.

“Thursday’s announcement was welcome and follows a request by the administrator of Arrium who is working in the best interests of all stakeholders and pursuant to the Corporations Act.”

Arrium administrator Mark Mentha has described the state government’s $50 million investment in Arrium’s Whyalla operations as a ‘shot in the arm’.

RE: What is New Zealand?

Constitution Act 1900:-
127.
Aborigines not to be counted in reckoning population.
In reckoning the numbers of the people of the Commonwealth, or of a State or other part of the Commonwealth, aboriginal natives shall not be counted.

RE: What is New Zealand?

continued

In 2005 and 2006 the Australian House of Representatives Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs enquired into the harmonisation of legal systems within Australia, and with New Zealand, with particular reference to those differences that have an impact on trade and commerce. The Committee stated that the already close relationship between Australia and New Zealand should be closer still and that:

“ In this era of globalisation, it makes sense for Australia and New Zealand to look at moving closer together and further aligning their regulatory frameworks. ”
Key recommendations on the Australia–New Zealand relationship included:

Establishment of a trans-Tasman parliamentary committee to monitor legal harmonisation and examine options including closer association or union;
Pursuit of a common currency;
Offering New Zealand Ministers full membership of Australian ministerial councils;
Work to advance harmonisation of the two banking and telecommunications regulation frameworks.

Darn over night it shrunk the loaf was half the size this morning, however I was pleased to observe finally got bread dough to rise, first I had used both baking-powder and yeast then sat for 50 min then as it didn't rise much at all (second attempt) pre-activated some yeast by putting a teaspoon sugar in 29C quarter cup of water, added yeast and after then after putting the failed to rise dough back in mixer, poured the pre-activated yeast in and a bit more flour to soak up excess moisture. I again waited an hour until it rose then in oven and cooked at 210C for 30 minutes so need to refine tat I think??

Perhaps kneading after first rise, will see…

RE: Shopping Online or not?

How else could we afford night out shopping in Hong Kong, US of A, UK, Poland, NZ, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, China and points in-between including Australia , how else could you enjoy an evening shop in all those places.
How else would you spot a Cuisinart Steam + Convection Oven that combines a full-featured convection oven with a steaming function. Steam heat that cuts down the cooking time by as much as 40%.
Allows you to choose from 9 single and combination functions. Steam or poach any type of vegetable, fish, poultry or rice, use steam in combination with both Grill and Bake functions to create roasts that are beautifully browned on the outside, yet moist and juicy on the inside. Or proof bread dough in the oven, then bake with steam for an artisan-style loaf with a crisp, golden-brown crust.

RE: Shopping Online or not?

shopping online often because its convenient, eBay offers international goodies, PayPal and eBay give guaranties that cover safe arrival, as described and other user feedback stats...probably safer than shopping in shops
