I don't feel guilty about buying things..

But I would if it might hurt someone.

(nor do I feel guilty about hiding the rest of the cake from the kids)

Yep.. pangs of guilt would (and does) stop me doing things..

I'm a big believe in conscience. I know if I do something 'naughty' .. guilt tends to bug me non stop until I do something to resolve it.

The shoes.. I would still buy them.. and feel guilty for a nano second.

The job a friend was going for that I wanted too, I wouldn't apply for it.
