There we are as one
chosen by each other
to be what we are
as each other's lover.

Though we have shared
letters and greetings;
still the nervousness
at our first meeting.

I see you across the room
the object of my desire
and I come to you
unsteady but with fire.

My longing sets me free
as I touch your face
and stroke your hair
seeing you seeing me.

As I look into your eyes
all that was play
is revealed to me
and shyness fades away.

Play takes on new meaning
as our fires ignite
passions so sweet
of our longed for night.

All the feelings
with all the desires,
cravings and needs
wrapped up in our fire.

We are overtaken
by the need to express
our truths and beliefs
in our first caress.

What we felt we knew
is confirmed with touch
and madness drives us
compelled to the touch.

Our love seeks us
as our desire takes over
and we feel flesh
that is ours to love.

Our first true kiss
ignites in fire
and we hug our bodies
together with desire.

When start to know
our truths sharing
cheek to cheek
of our new caring.

We then are consumed
to know each other
more than just a friend
but as true lovers.

Touching by nurturing
feeling touches,
joining bodies,
drunk as one.

We taste ourselves
and experience we
as we meld as one
consumed and free.

Broken Screams

Torn was I by the two;
Chosen one and shared one.
Both chosen but
second one chose me, too.

Like a fool
I tried to give
first one more chances
and broke both our hearts.

Now, I ponder my mistake
and realize my error.
Now, my gratitude is awaken
and I realize I am human.

In rage I fought myself
and challenged my love
for two I had loved
and found one infatuation.

Friends both in their
separate but unique ways.
Both had been there for me
and me for them.

One I had knew longer
but the other one
I had loved stronger
and even felt love returned.

I try to scream
but only can cry.
My tears muffle
my broken screams.

Love can scary
if you have loved
before and it didn't
work out.

Love can be mistaken
for infatuation
even though it
might feel like love.

Many people say that love
starts out like friendship
and over much sharing
can evolve into love.

Love is like a seed
that needs time
and nurturing
to grow into a flower.

Many people have written
what they think love is
but who has ever figured
it out and proved it.

Sometimes we take shortcuts
because we are concerned
with time
only to get lost on the road.

Love can't be forced
and it can't be guaranteed
but there is always
the possibility for love.

If you have ever been hurt
you can be love shy.
And one can be afraid
to love because of trust.

Even the words, "I love you",
can sometimes seem empty
because the other questions
what you see as love.

Love can be worth the effort
if you can be patient
and tolerate another's need
for honesty and belief.

Love is a beautiful thing
but two must give to it.
Love is like poetry
because it must flow.

Five Card Stud of Love

and can it be measured?
How can you prove that
love exists scientifically?

If two people say they
love each other is that
evidence of love
or double infatuation?

If two friends fall in love
and lose their friendship
is that still considered

How does one know if one
is in love if no tells them?
Is love a virus or some
other type of manifestation?

Can love be cured
like a disease?
What are the first
symptoms of love?

If two people are in love
and one of them dies
then where does
that love go?

If love isn't always
the result of two friends
spending time together
then isn't love illogical?
