RE: North Korea

The food goes to the party members and the military in NKorea, Conrad. So likely the military will last alot longer than the
NKorean people.

Maybe time for a little reversal of fortunes in the country.
Some small rebellions and gov't protest have occurred.

To spur this on. We can broadcast them inspiration speeches from President Obama.....then when they see his trillion dollar deficits here in the US and his shift to socialism (something they know only to well)...they can be inspired too!!dancing

Inspirational Sports Story- Basketball Player with only one hand

This is a story for many sport fans and for people in general that is truely inspirational. Born with one hand at birth, at a young age, Kevin Laue, determine he wanted to play basketball.

At the age of 8, he was playing on 5 teams. He recently graduated from a military academy in the US, and just signed a scholarship
to attend Manhattan College.

At 6'11" and 232 in weight, Laue has all the other requirements to be a excellent college basketball player. He is just short one hand. But he has learn to accomendate for this bit shortness well.

RE: Taliban or US intelligence -Who is responsible ?

Looks like the local Pakistani answered your question, Tbilisigal.
400 local (near the Mosque attack) Pakistani villagers organized a militia. They began to attack Taliban village nearby and to tear down huts and houses that were sheltering Taliban fighters.

Guess they did not see a CIA caused attack at the Mosque. Better
misinformation luck next time, Tbilisigal.

RE: North Korea

Naval blockade, IRIS flights, territorial sanctions (e.g. take areas of North Korea), Air Intrusion Flights by stealth platforms
that disappear on radar.

Driven, in other words.... if words don't work...one slowly places more and more military pressure on the country. Like the 10 years of over flights of Iraq that the US did.

You come short of pulling the trigger. But you let them know your presence and abilities.

Problem is North Korea is saying they consider stopping of North Korean vessels (e.g. Naval blockade) to be an act of war. So some of these if we do them.....can bring the saber from the scabber.

RE: Obama Rocks ! Today ! The most serious attempt against more Wars !

This just in.

Pakistani villagers (400) near the Taliban Mosque attack. They organized a militia. Began to take back villages controlled by the Taliban in the region. Destroying houses that were harboring Taliban.

Looks like the Taliban just went one attack to many.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

LOL........that would mean Dude is really in Miami. Indy, I am only
4 hours away from Miami. That is within meeting distance. A scary thought indeed. But it does explain the South Beach lifestyle.
And the street actors of Key West.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Dude is what Dude is. I think.

Dude has asked us time and again to accept Obama's values and programs. Yet Dude never acknowledges the value of GWB or his programs. When I see that in the political debate, it means really only one thing......

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Saddam gave the UN inspectors 20,000 pages of material on a serise of CDs. When the inspectors got to the inspection points and burial points....they could not find anything that was referenced in the 20,000 pages.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Naw I was pretty quiet. I only begin to make noises when people call me a ragging pit bull.....

RE: Obama Rocks ! Today ! The most serious attempt against more Wars !

$2.45 to $2.57 per gallon here and raisin.

Dang, I wish we had a few more of those offshore oil wells.....you know just for the basic fuel needs....like driving cars, school busses, home heating oil, flying jets, powering boats.....

I guess will just wait till they all become electtic and we can use the solar energy and western windmills.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Well President Obama said in 2002 (prior to the invasion) that Saddam was a brutal dictator, that the country was in economic choas, that time would see his regime fall into the waste heap of history. But now the Iraq liberation is to be apologised for?

President Obama then did not talk about his two sons that were set to take power, or the deep Hussien family or the Bathe party...all these other Iraqi issues that had to neatly fall into the waste heap with him...for a liberation of Iraq to occur.

He was blind to just letting the Iraq situation just linger on and on, Cristina. Just like he is blind to 2.4m Paksitani that today are in refugee camps......

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

France was a German occupied country....Vichy France was a German run country. In Vichy France, they worked for the Germans. Some French were in the resistance and some French were part of the Allied Army.

But most of those German gun emplacement on Normandy beachs.....were constructed by the French construction firms and French men.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

About all we have Obama do on the international scene is to apologize.....why should Normandy be any different.

How can he stand at Normandy....and say.....what a great thing
Americans did in WWII to liberate Europe....when he has been
apologising to the world for American liberating Iraq from Saddam Hussien.

Now do you get it?

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

You are strange....to cry at one moment in a serious post and then to laugh at the end, Cristina. So one can assume you are laughing at the sacrafrice of American in WWII or the offer of free information regarding the cermonies, a kind gesture.....

so yes, I guess we do have a real misunderstanding here.

RE: Taliban or US intelligence -Who is responsible ?

Yes it was the CIA paid clerics and instructors in those Paksitani
Madrassas that inflamed 80,000 Muslim student to joint the Jahid and to be trained in AlQeada training camps during the 90s. Paid each of the poor student s $300 signing bonus.

Just amazing the reach that the CIA has in the world. I better go look under my bed now, to see if a CIA Agent is hiding there.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

I knew I would get caught some day, Sparky55....I am just another ragging pit bull for animal control to put into a cage.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Check where President Obama has taken it too.......triple the debt level of President Bush in 6 month of office. LOL......what is funny....Sojourner......is that when Clinton left office the country GNP was growing had little to do with his economic policies.

But had everything to do with those REP run small business.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

If something is habit forming as the Obama apology tours seems to be .....one can get to make prediction.....

I know this...my Dad had two close friends go ashore at Omaha beach....one later was wounded in the Hedgrow fighting just behind the beaches....he would not like to hear a Presidential apology for their sacrifice to free France.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

I just hope he does not apologize in Normandy for the WWII landings there. The Great Generation might be just a tad offended by such a thing.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Did the French nose of Sarkozy go up about 3 inches, as they walked together, Indy? This should be good on O'Reilly body language segment.....the French President Sarkozy finds President Obama odious......

And I thought the French waiters were a tough crowd to please.
Well heck.....guess when you give IPod......some will just take it as a insult.

What the hey....just another apology to give anyways......

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Dang!!! Does this means the French will cut off our supply of French wines and Truffles?????

RE: Obama Rocks ! Today ! The most serious attempt against more Wars !

Mean while the unemployment rate here in the US 9.2%. The unemployment rate in the Great Depression was between 20-25%.
We are 1/2 of the way there.

When President Obama returns from Europe to press his health care package.....we will get to watch health insurance companies, Doctors offices, and Hospitals laying off workers. Why?

Well obviously the healthy insurance companies cannot compete with the National Health Insurance Program. So they will soon start cutting back.

Dr. and Hospitals have large staff to process the claims of the patients. With a streamlined (if it happens) electronic National
Health Care program, no as many positions needed here.

Likely will also effect medical transcribers. As the health care industry goes more to the electronic systems.

So guessing.....maybe another 1m to 1.5m jobs lost under this administration. That should break the 10% unemployment ....maybe hit 12+% unemployment.

The DEM arguement for National Health Care is now this. That business and household income improve as this financial burden is taking away. But if their program is now to tax the health care benefits given.....is this really so?

Well the with the two TARPs bank stimulus packages ($1.5 tillion
dollars) making 150,000 jobs so far. To get back the projected medical jobs lose of 1m.....the National Health Insurance program needs to be $9.999999 Tillion Dollar by my calculator.

I am not sure that the American citizen is that sick....LOL

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Nixon made admends with a country. Obama is making admends with an entire religion. Some (a small group of extremists, using Pres. Obama words) that surely desire to destroy and kill American and westerns.

Why is the majority of moderate Muslim offended when this country and yours defended themselves? Why is there a need for this apology? That goes on and on and on.

In his Cairo speech. according to one...13 paragraphs...were
apologic to the acts of the US. 1 was positive to the country.

I think that it this.

That this is his was of still showing himself to be different from GWB. That was his main campaign point. If he does not continue in this tone, his left wing supporters will take a closer look at his continued policies.....that verify much of what the previous administration did.

I am not really criticizing Pres. Obama, if he wants to travel the world being apologic for the country, and have that to be seen as his leadership and management style ....that is fully his right to do so.

RE: L.A. Lakers vs. Orlando Magic - The Next NBA Champ

I am local to Orlando, so yes here there is a lot of Magic support.

Not a big B-Ball fan myself....but will follow the serise as much as possible. The first game blowout by the Lakers was a surprise.
But seems that the Magic did not hit the 3 point shots....cold shooting night maybe.

Magic are underdogs.....but who knows.....maybe a dog with some bite. Time will tell

RE: Obama Rocks ! Today ! The most serious attempt against more Wars !

Ever see a little hard rock get stuck in the gears of a machine?
All of sudden the machine comes to a stop. Just consider us little hard rocks that getting stuck in the gears of the Obama machine.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

Why sound Americans be happy with the kind of peace he is making, eisus? There are different kinds of peace. Like different kinds of love.

Why should our National image be his fodder for apology for a peace
when the other side (bin Laden is still active and exposing Jahid against the US) is still in the fight?

Sure many moderate Muslim may have grievances against the US. It was also many moderate Muslim that gave to Muslim charities that helped to fund radical cleric directed Madrasses in Pakistan, Hamas and Hezbollah organizations. But I don't hear them saying they are sorry for making the donation.

RE: Obama's Cairo Speech

CA is one of the hardest hit states in our economic problems, JD.
Highest rate of job lose, housing foreclosures and a state gov't with a $40b debt issue.

RE: Obama Rocks ! Today ! The most serious attempt against more Wars !

------------------------^-----------------------------

Sounds to me that Dude here is trying to figure out how GWB in his 8 years in office, won one war and nearly won a second.

Recently some DNA researchers found a 'warrior gene'. They are doing studies on gang members, and it seems that this 'warrior gene' is many of them.

I suspect once they get to testing military and military family,
they will find this same gene in them as well. I know in my family military service goes back the war of 1816, every male has served since.

If you look at the military families in Europe, the same case can be made....long histories of military service. Just maybe
people without this 'warrior gene' have a hard time understanding those that do and vice and verse.

Bing West in his book "The Strongest Tribe" War, Politics and the Endgame in Iraq.....writes this in his preference....

"There are two prevalent views of history. By far the more popular view is the 'Great man' view: that nations are led from the top.Leaders like Cesaer and Lincoln shape history. Most accounts of Iraq subscribe to the 'great man' theory. Books about Franks, Bremer, Sanchez, and Tenet have at their core s wonderful sense of self-worth. History is about them."

"The other view of history is holds the will of the people provides the momentum for change. Leaders are important, but only when they channel or simply have the common sense to ride, the popular movement. "Battle is not decide by the commander in chief" wrote Tolstoy in War and Peace "but by the spirit of the
Army."

"Iraq reflected Tolstoy's model. Events were driving by the spirit or the dispirit of the people and tribes. Iraq was not a "Great Man" war or even a General War: there was not a blueprint and sceme of maneuver to akin what guides units in war."

Iraq was won and Afghanistan is being won by men and women with this 'warrior gene', that made simple service to their countries
and people a high goal in their lives. Many don't understand that and never will. These are the real heros of GWB's Iraq and
Afghanistan.

I think that when the DNA testers compare military DNA with gang member DNA, they will also find additional DNA in the military for 'order' and 'service'. For these are two traits that sets the military apart from the gang.

Is it not interesting, as one sees a opened hand extended from the
