the bad one is when it's used to insult someone directly, on purpose.
the thing is... one can very easily differenciate between good sarcasm and bad sarcasm in a conversation for example, as the tone of voice, body language and eyes remove all possible offence when it's good sarcasm.
in writing, it's a bit more difficult, but if that is done through one of those silly threads where one posts, another posts, then another one posts, and it's like a fluid conversation but in the virtual world of this message box, then good sarcasm can be seen from a mile off.
The problem is when somebody takes a thread and reads it without having participated in it, they might get the wrong end....
it would take simply ages to go trhough everysingle one of them, send a flower, a mail and then keep track! but cs is a great place where to get to know people more or less.
meeting people in the street? well it would be in the time I use between the where I am to the car
RE: Sarcasm--- The Wit of the Twit
I've thought about it...and this goes back to the good sarcasm vs the bad sarcasm.
good sarcasm is good.
bad sarcasm is bad.
