Ok guys...what is it??? I know this is an old subject, but I have been receiving a LOT of mail & flowers from MUCH younger guys!! Before I get the obvious answer of 'experienced women', is there some other reason why you young guys aren't looking for women your own age????
Everyone is complaining, and rightly so about how quiet this site is, so let's get the ball rolling.............
OK..... I'm no rocket scientist, but I am happy to say some Irish men have communicated with me, but not through this forum. At least we are communicating, even if it is by mail. But, as I've said in another thread already, this forum is the way to get a grip (at least a little insight) into a personality. I'm gonna be verbally lashed over this, but quite frankly, "what is your favourite movie, or riddles", don't cut the mustard with me. I yawn when I see threads like that, and I REALLY don't want to insult anyone, they get more response than any other thread and that's good, at least it gets people talking.
But when I listen to daytime radio sometimes, I get fantastic pleasure in hearing other peoples life stories, strife or success stories. We Irish are brilliant at talking (literally) but in writing?? We are more anonymous here than on radio, so what's the problem??????????????

Familiar with your name from other forum loco, and I'm VERYYYYYYY busy for the next few weeks, but would hope this forum becomes as popular as others. I don't know?? What is it with the Irish....We're great for yapping in pubs etc. but in forums??? Hope it gets better.
Mine is probably telling me to bring in the construction workers in order to break down the temporary walls I have built. They would tell me the longevity of my partitions for each room will not last too long. I'm sure they would suggest that I make it open plan in order not to compartmentalise by putting all of the hurt into one room, and then just start anew. I will be renovating this winter. I will start with the spare room where all the hurt/junk is, where the heart speaks like a jackhammer!!!
I will allow the odd visitor to stay in that room, but it will take some time before he will break into the concrete area, where the heart whispers silently!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! boy. I don't know what planet that girl is from, we are from the same country, but I think she's had too much of the 'green' stuff (only for St. Patricks day by the way). Civilized country indeed...if you go into any of our hospitals today, you will break your neck tripping over trollies in the corridors. Old people left lying there for up to 8 days in some cases, YEAH! FANTASTIC HEALTH CARE IN IRELAND...Wake up honey!!!!! Our leader spends about €480 per month on his make-up, but your granny could die on a trolly!!!

Sorry, can't agree with you on that one!! Quite harsh about the alcohol genetic stuff (unless you have some scientific background on the genetics of it, to my knowledge, even the "experts" haven't quite figured that one out). To put it simply, if one has an alcoholic parent, that is abusive (mostly they are) do you really think a kid WANTS to mimic that????? Yes that is LEARNED behaviour through no fault of their own, but the physical act of pouring down the booze, drugs, or food, let's face it, all under the "addiction" umbrella. With booze and drugs it's usually "beam me up scotty, reality way too hard to take", but with food, one can develop overeating habits completely irrelevant to the dietry habits of their upbringing. It is still "escaping" of a different kind, but I believe it's more to do with "anything that makes you feel better rather than suffer this internal pain" (subconciously of course). While I didn't have a problem with food as a child, as was not fed the processed crap that is now being dished out to kids as normal, I now sometimes eat crap that I have developed a taste for...eg..bad day, passing McDonalds, do I wait 'til I get to the supermarket and pack up on salad?? No, I go for what's yummy, and not allowed!!!! While I don't have an issue with food, that kind of screws up your theory about what was on the table when growing up don't you think????
I'm gonna just tell a brief story of a woman in her 40's now! She is working with children from 1 to 8yrs old. It is new to her, and their behaviour, which can sometimes be very trying, makes her wonder how her mother of 9 kids coped. I am rambling I know, but it doesn't take a psychologist to figure out how we end up being attracted to the men we hook up with. Of course I also include the men that hook up to women in the same way...etc... Actually, I'm so tired tonight...I'm hoping someone will join in and give this the kick start that is needed????
You said it dbert....If I was to go on a "squeeeeel" like a pig (only those who've watched 'Deliverance' will get that)kind of date, which metaphor boy seems to be looking for, I'd carry the biggest, albeit difficult to hide weapon in my bag to throttle him with.
