I am reminding myself that yesterday I met the most adorable kids in the store .... 5 aging in range downward from approx 6 years old. The smiles and hugs made my morning. They were like little rays of sunshine in my day!

It would be cool if you posted some pictures to share with us.

I'm putting up the odd decoration right now but plan to put up the Christmas tree and the rest of the decorations for the end of November. Most of my shopping is already done and I've just got to wrap some of the gifts to send back home to my family.

I like having the decorations up as I want to simply enjoy them throughout the season. Working retail is generally long hours at Christmas so to come home and plug in the Christmas tree is a treat. It brings beauty into my life and although its simple, I enjoy it immensely.

Home is my refuge and that is one thing that I enjoy about being in Alberta is that cozy feeling of having snow outside. Its a sweet solitude as I enjoy watching the chickadees out my window.

I think its safe to say that most of us have some realistic expectations and some that need adjustment which needs to be hashed out or else agree to disagree.

I do think though that you've overlooked my observation that the parking space needs to be kept "clear" of projects. lol

The other solution is to have a big enough property to accommodate all the projects and give each person their own space for projects.

I am reporting that he's still on the couch! Alas the project has expanded so we've got someone coming out on Thursday to take a look and quote the job. Black mold had developed so its more involved than first anticipated.

Perhaps it gets to the point that there is no room to park the car in the garage because of all the projects?? I don't remember a car ever being parked in the garage at home because of all my dad's projects, but hey you're right my mom always knew and still knows where he's at as he's puttering around outside. He's probably got every tool (x2), but in saying that my mom's got her own as well.

I do think as individuals we need to find things/projects that make us happy, but also as a couple to do things together as well. There needs to be a balance.

I am thinking that maybe quite interesting! Truly though, as you probably know from chatting with me I'm pretty down to earth and sometimes brutally honest! Just would like the same in return because while I may not always like what's being said, after pondering, I can accept or reject it. I want to dig deep with people, not just a surface level.

Track I'm sure that every person could dig up unfair treatment or horrible things that countries have committed against people/nature/wildlife etc. People have done these things and for the OP to single out a single country isn't correct.

In the end I think it all starts with us as individuals and how we conduct ourselves. To strive to be our best will hopefully naturally translate into treating others better and caring for our world. Each person can make an impact - they simply need to try.

I am agreeing with your observation. Not knowing the "why" can be difficult at times to accept, but hey unless we take pins and needles and sharp instruments to another person until they are squealing in pain .... we may never have an answer. Ok I think I watched too many horror movies lately!

I am disappointed that some people seem to be uncomfortable when a conversation turns more serious. I was hopeful for more substance but I do suppose it all depends on what one seeks to share with another and that is beyond my control.

I am thinking that you are in for a long wait, given the process level that appears to be happening as you snore on the couch!

Just keep trying, and continue to develop and grow in yourself. Being single isn't a bad thing but the opportunity for growth within ourselves, to become the best person that we can whether we are in a relationship or not.

If you are continually being brushed off by women, perhaps ask for some constructive feedback from people who will be honest with you. Sometimes there are things that we need to address, but it can involve tough love. Take it as a positive and go from there. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, but I know for myself that at the moment I don't necessarily like what's being said to me, in the end and upon reflection, its generally good advice that I can apply or dismiss as it fits.

Think you should write him ...... you have nothing to lose but hopefully the opportunity to be with someone you care about. The world is changing and each one of us should have the opportunity to be with people that we love and care about. Why do some people or countries seem to have this happen while others cannot?

Change will only happen when people fight for what they believe in and stand up for to change for the better. Imagine how many others are in the same boat but do nothing - someone needs to be the catalyst for change - so start with the person that you can control which is yourself.
