it's wrong and unfair on the child to bad mouth his mother. But would it help if you say something? Only you can be the judge of that, we're not there & don't know the guy and how you are with him.
It seems a bit extreme to destroy a perfectly good tent to prove....er, I"m not sure what it proves except big fireworks are not good for small tents.
Acid rain is caused by chemicals in the atmosphere from industrial emissions, not atomic testing. The West has largely restricted such emissions and here acid rain is decreasing. However emerging economies like China and India don't impose such controls so there the problem is getting worse.
Can't you even water the plants with rain water? If not how come they're not all dead?

Being a seafarer I've visited cities all over the World and have many favourites, but I think Barcelona is worth a special mention. It has almost everything. Beautiful buildings, history and culture, great beaches, brilliant nightlife and some of the best restaurants anywhere. It's very bike friendly and I like to rent one for the day and just cruise round soaking up the atmosphere.
Hi Paws. I'm more or less the same age as you and you shouldn't be shutting down. I just met a great woman 14 years younger than me and I feel just as in love as I ever have. (And it all still works too!).
Talking about summer dresses, I was on a beach recently in Spain surrounded by virtually naked beauties wearing just thongs. I was worried that they didn't interest me enough. But then I spotted a lovely lady passing by in a short summer dress being blown by the wind.
