RE: what matters the most

The best present you can give anyone is your time, your words of appreciation, your love; that is the way I think. But what do I knowdunno

RE: I'll Wipe The Tears For You

It is painful to say good bye to a love one, my heart shrink knowing the pain you are going through and knowing that one day, I will be saying good bye to someone I love.
The only thing we can do is, celebrate their life with happiness, remember the moments we share with them and keep them alive in our thoughts and our hearts.

Take care, Sharon!

Can humans learned from some animal's behavior?

A Learning Experience

Our pets can teach us many things - if we're willing to listen. They teach us how to love unconditionally, how to look at each day as a new one, to embrace all the good things and why it really is the simple things in life that we should cherish.

Here are some basic lessons our pets endeavor to teach us:

1. Always be happy to see those you love.

2. Approach each day and each new experience with enthusiasm (even a walk).

3. Never underestimate the power of praise.

4. Play every chance you get.

5. Don’t be afraid to show your joy! When you are happy – show it. Wiggle and wag.

6. Take lots of naps and always stretch and yawn before you get up.

7. Never turn down a car ride with someone you love.

8. Be loyal.

9. Lounge under a tree in the shade on a hot day.

. Lessons from a Goose
Scientists have found that geese flying in formation can travel around 78% further in a session than geese flying solo. Working together on the task of flying is beneficial in a number of ways:

· Aerodynamic Formation - The V formation of geese is a way that maximizes the energy expended by those flying as part of it. The bird at the front of the flock breaks the air for those flying behind it and creates a slipstream for them to be dragged along in. The birds behind also help those in front as the upward motion of their wing also creates an upward draft that propels them forward. This push/pull relationship ensures all birds in the formation benefit from the work of others.
· Rotating Leadership - Even with the pushing effect of those behind it - the front bird uses the most energy and becomes tired more quickly than others. The geese know that and instinctively rotate leadership of the flock - allowing tired birds who have used a lot of energy for the sake of the flock to take a rest and be dragged a long for a while until it is there next turn up front.
· Dropping out of the Flock - as a result of sickness or injury a bird will occasionally begin to fall away from the flock - unable to keep up. Instead of allowing this bird to fly on alone - at least two others will always drop out of the flock with it. This ensures that the injured bird will be defended and cared for until it is ready to resume flying - and that it will fly on with the benefit of flying in formation.
· Power of the Honk - From the ground the V formation of the geese is a beautiful thing to watch - serenely gliding across the sky these birds look quite majestic and peaceful. However get up into the flock and you find its quite a noisy affair with the geese constantly honking at one another. There are numerous theories about this honking and it could be partly about letting each other know where they are so there is no midair collisions) but many believe that this honking is actually about creating an environment of success and mutual encouragement.

Any other interesting behavior from animal, you like to share?

RE: What's your opinion on the 100 monkey syndrome.

I don't think we are dumb, just too busy within ourselves to answer the phone.

RE: What's your opinion on the 100 monkey syndrome.

I have never read about this before, very interesting, thanks something new to learn . It takes a highly and unique being to do something out of the normal behavior to transmit the knowledge to the rest of the herd. How did he do it? It can only be theorized, by the following:

Multidimensional self-awareness (MS) – The condition of mature lucidity of an intraphysical consciousness in terms of consciential life in the evolved state of multidimensionality. This condition is achieved through lucid projectability (LPB).

Parapsychophysical repercussions – Reactions between 2 vehicles of consciential manifestation, when they come into contact with each other. This can occur between different vehicles of one consciousness or between similar vehicles of two or more consciousnesses. These repercussions can be intraphysical and extraphysical.

I compare it, the communication between the monkeys from one island to the other as the power or prayer. I believe that the power of prayer is first felt inside of us. It's a sense of God's assent, somewhat like someone answering our phone call when the phone has been ringing for a long time and we're wondering if maybe we should just hang up and try again another time. Then a voice answers and simply says, "I'm here. I'm listening to you." Communication has been established!

RE: love is

There is still hope! That is what love is for me and I wont settle for less.

RE: Can Sorry be Enough?

Hey Nene, (how are girl?)
Sometimes I try to go away, I want to away, I want to be left alone but the other person keeps insulting in their unique way to say "SORRY" they need to be the one who has the last word or they want to make their point the only one. At the end I do walk away because it doesn’t worth the try to even here they are sorry.

RE: Can Sorry be Enough?

Can sorry be enough? Well it can be, if it’s heartfelt but when there is sarcasm behind it, then of course not. It is not what you say but how you say it!
It is not enough when the same scenario is repeated or when the degree of the offense is unbearable.

RE: A mom in tears!

I have a question, what is the school doing to these kids?
Once a girl was threaten my daughter to fight her after school, she told me. I went to the school and talked to the counselor. The counselor latter on, called the girl to the office and told her that if she didn't stop bothering my daughter she was going to call her mother, the girl burst into tears asking the counselor not to call her because her mother will beat her up and pusher against the wall. After that the girl stop, she didn’t speak to my daughter again. After the counselor told me that I felt sorry for the girl, their parents were getting the divorce and looked like that it was not a pleasant process, the girl seemed like she missed her dad, also terrified of her mother and she was reacting to all her sadness and frustrations against my daughter. For every action there is a reaction, sometimes when a kids act in a rage and/or violence they are reacting to something it is bothering them. My advice to you is to ask the school to talk to these kid’s parents, tell them if they don’t do something to prevent this from happening again you will go and press charges against their kids. They need to be stop before something else happen to your son or anybody else.

What is a Gentleman?

What is a Gentleman?
Few of us may be lucky enough to find one in the 20th century.
I just came back to C.S. and from the time I have being here never have experimented so discouraging to placed a post, not fun any more. Where are the gentleman, where did they go? I remember some use to come to C.S. and can still see some.
This is a definition of a gentleman, hardly and sadly to find in a man now days.
It is almost a definition of a gentleman to say he is one who never inflicts pain. This description is both refined and, as far as it goes, accurate. He is mainly occupied in merely removing the obstacles which hinder the free and unembarrassed action of those about him; and he concurs with their movements rather than takes the initiative himself.

His benefits may be considered as parallel to what are called comforts or conveniences in arrangements of a personal nature: like an easy chair or a good fire, which do their part in dispelling cold and fatigue, though nature provides both means of rest and animal heat without them.

The true gentleman in like manner carefully avoids whatever may cause ajar or a jolt in the minds of those with whom he is cast; -- all clashing of opinion, or collision of feeling, all restraint, or suspicion, or gloom, or resentment; his great concern being to make every one at their case and at home.

He has his eyes on all his company; he is tender towards the bashful, gentle towards the distant, and merciful towards the absurd; he can recollect to whom he is speaking; he guards against unseasonable allusions, or topics which may irritate; he is seldom prominent in conversation, and never wearisome. He makes light of favours while he does them, and seems to be receiving when he is conferring.

He never speaks of himself except when compelled, never defends himself by a mere retort, he has no ears for slander or gossip, is scrupulous in imputing motives to those who interfere with him, and interprets everything for the best.

He is never mean or little in his disputes, never takes unfair advantage, never mistakes personalities or sharp sayings for arguments, or insinuates evil which he dare not say out. From a long-sighted prudence, he observes the maxim of the ancient sage, that we should ever conduct ourselves towards our enemy as if he were one day to be our friend.

He has too much good sense to be affronted at insults, he is too well employed to remember injuries, and too indolent to bear malice. He is patient, forbearing, and resigned, on philosophical principles; he submits to pain, because it is inevitable, to bereavement, because it is irreparable, and to death, because it is his destiny. If he engages in controversy of any kind, his disciplined intellect preserves him from the blunder. [From The Idea of a University, 1852]

RE: Ok ladys if you meet a guy and he had no way to travel to meet you. How far would you travel to meet

Whenever is a want there is a will, not want not will as simple as that.

RE: Which to listen to, heart or head?

Does it last? for how long?

RE: Which to listen to, heart or head?

I will say it takes a little bit of both. When we are young and inexperienced usually we make the mistake to only listen to our heart and follow it. With time and experience we know that sometimes this doesn’t work well. If you have doubts and doesn't feel right then this can only means that it is not right. If you don't like getting involved with someone who is married, smokes, drinks in excess, is aggressive, jealous, or disrespectful and this person is one or more of the things you don’t like, then you have a problem, and you need to use your head. If you have kids and/or have been hurt by a past relationship, my advice is use your head first, then your heart. In my case when I am with someone I give everything I got. This time I am going to make sure whom I will give it to. Matters of the heart are very painful.
No one is perfect, but he must be perfect for you and the only that can determine that is you. Sometimes I do some testing, only to see how the other person react to it, I do it for my own protection, words are just that words, the only way to convince me, is with actions and the way I feel about them, I know when is real and when is not, a little too old to be fool by it. Some testing without warning, are good too.

Wishing you, you will make the right decision.

Take care,

Yami.

RE: just had to block someone.

Hey Gord, the answer to your question is not feeling at all, nothing to lose!!!!!! But you are a gentleman don't imagine anyone do it to you.

RE: just had to block someone.

I could have blocked him first, but I thought it was childish and unnecessary. He did not like it, just because I did not go along with kind of humor, laughed at his jokes or agreed to everything he said. I want to end this, so will let it died and ignore it. I know who I am and don’t need to prove it to anyone nor I need to start a thread to ask for support.

RE: just had to block someone.

Thanks for your support. I wasn't.

RE: just had to block someone.

RE: Who Will Join the Professor and Paws in Venezuela ?

This is just to clarify some misunderstanding and ignorance from some people. The reason why Venezuelan and other immigrants come to this countries are looking for a better life and opportunities, many come with just pennies in their pockets and some no even without that much. It is true that we find here those said opportunities but many are accomplishing out of hard work and dedication. We love our countries, what we don't like are the politicians, leaders and government. An example of that is thanks to the great and enviable President from Colombia and the ways he is leading his country many Colombian are returning to their country life is less stressful and relax. Venezuela is a beautiful country, it has everything the Mountains and peaks of Merida, cool climate sometimes you can see snow, the Medanos de Coro(desert), the Salto Angel, the great forest some untouched by human which can easily be the lungs of our planet. We the people (immigrants) are very thankful to the hospitality of North Americans. Sorry is I have offend any one, I just need to say this.
