To OP romance is not dead. Its just women can't decide what they want.

Women can never express with words with what they want, emotionally they know exactly what they want, a man who is many things and many faces a leader,rescuer,scoundrel,lover,fighter,a gentleman,father,romantic,daddy,a hero and many more.

Women want a man whose arms ya feel safe in, not necessarily the toughest man but somebody who'd protect ya if ya needed. Women want a man who when their world crumbles they'll be your rock, a man who'll fix your problems/headaches without you having to ask. Women want someone whos ambition is strong as it shows the underlying drive as a man. A man who will make you laugh. And no matter what about looks cleanliness is very important as poor cleanliness implies a boy who cannot look after himself and a guy you can cuddle up to on a sofa under a blanket (massively undervalued by me in the past). Women want someone who is loves kids and is loved by them. Women want someone who is honest with them. You want someone that will tell you off when you have done wrong. Women desire romance.... and desire the memories of romance that they will treasure forever.
Woman want to feel wanted. Women need a man who is worthy of them a man who has left hes ego at the doorstep and has belief in his identity and has achieved things in his life or has at least made the active decision to do so. Women want a man who can open up to you and not bottle up his feelings.
A man who lives his life by a code of beliefs who has integrity. The type of guy who confidently voice his opinions when his beliefs are either embraced or threatened.

Above all you JUST WANT TO BE LOVED.There biggest fear in the world is being hurt. Again.

This is my understanding of the female mind through going out with girlfriends and just general obersvations.... The man above man not exist but nothing is stopping any guy from trying!

ahhh now you see I never said it was a man versus women thing.. Im romantic and I love spoiling the right guy, but I havent found a guy here that just hasnt pushed their luck when it comes to sussing out if Im up for anything (and believe me its not romance)... maybe thats why Im getting disillusioned with the idea of romance...

I really dont agree, Im very independent and know a lot of independent women who wld luv some romance in their lives:) I think men make too many assumptions and give up way too easily...sry but that just my opinion
