As you said earlier, you are working in child protection... I know how hard your job is.. not because I do it.. but I do something related... therefore.. you have the hardest job in my opinion.. I dont know what team you are in... but if you are in the removal side.. then I do not envy you one bit..

Yes, your supervision is part debrief and accountability... I know its performance related always.. and no matter what others think.. I do believe you... It is a hard slog...

RE: Are you worth what you are getting payed for?

bottom line is that I love my job, even with it's faults like red tape and bureaucracy to deal with on a daily basis, I shouldn't be put in the same box as some public servants who don't really do much work. However all my co-workers and myself work damned hard, plus we have "supervision" on a 6 monthly basis. So if you aren't doing your job well, you soon get told about it and put on "performance management".

Life is good atm

thanks everyone cheers

RE: Are you worth what you are getting payed for?

I'm a "State" Public Servant, and I could earn much more in the private sector with what I do. However I love my job, even though it involves me working until 6pm or later most days, and we can't even claim overtime, just TOIL (time off in lieu), which we can seldom take because we are always too busy. I work in Child Protection.

26y.o. son who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma 5 months ago, we found out that after 3 months of chemo, all his tumours have gone, just another 3 months of chemo left now to clear up the rubble left behind, work is great, 22 y.o. daughter just scored a new job that pays her $5000 more a year. When things are going well with my kids, life is good applause

Was born in S.A. but parents moved to W.A. where I grew up, got married, and ex eventually joined the Airforce, hence we ended up in Qld for quite a few years due to his postings. I moved back to W.A. where I could be close to family as ex was abusive.

RE: which pop concert have you enjoyed the most
