A writer who does not speak out of a full experience uses torpid words, wooden or lifeless words, such words as humanitary, which have a paralysis in their tails. --Thoreau
I'd have avoided going to school, listening to radio, watching TV, reading the news, listening to opinions, etc. I'd only read Gibran and listen to either instrumental music or in a language I don't understand. I'd be an artist of some sort.
OK...I'll contribute a quote from an incoming email:
Am looking for a serious, confident, purposeful, faithful, trustworthy, smart, responsible, honest, modest, kind, loyal, elegant, sociable, sensitive, gentle, cheerful, romantic, considered, responsible, jovial who will not hurt me and will know how to take care of a lady like me
It's similar to winning the lottery. Yeah, someone has to win, but anyone's chances of winning are 0.000001%. So, if you were to take the question personally, and think if you can win, you would conclude that no, most likely not.
I'd be delusional if I thought of myself as great as any of them. On the other hand, waiting for someone else to do all the work instead of doing the little I can ain't right... each of us should do according to his ability.
If there are more people that match you in the US, going back seems like the better option. Financially it may not be so different, if you could move in together with your future partner and share the costs.
