I personally would not, but given the general helplessness I observe in this area, you'd be a rich woman. People would hire you just to brag to their friends that they have a personal assistant. Make it really expensive - even more to brag about.
I suspect the almost-always-perfect weather is the reason why So Cal is so ridiculously dense in population. I've never seen it below 40 or above 85. I'm not far from the coastline. When I first got here, I wondered about the absence of air conditioning in my place. A friend said I would never need it - she was right.
Still, I suffer from the Groundhog Day Syndrome from time-to-time. When I was back home in Michigan last month for the auto show, I sort of reveled in the inclement weather. Of course, it was easier knowing it was temporary.
Teachers, firefighters, police, soldiers, the list goes on. I don't think the reason why needs to be cited.
I've never watched the Oscars. I appreciate a good movie and good acting, but I never understood the deification of people who are good at not being themselves.
I agree with Ooby. Very well said. Political threads, particularly these days, are treacherous waters. But in my observation, you've always done a great job of looking at things objectively.
