RE: what an absolute laugh

The ratio of ladies to men in lawn bowling increases with age... by the time you hit 81 you have it made...

lol...

RE: what an absolute laugh

lol... Not to worry Tony... Just means you are more appealing to the senior set...

Do you lawn bowl?

lol...

RE: Dating tips from those who know.

RE: what an absolute laugh

lol... way too old for some...

I've noticed that 49yo is a big cut off too...

At 49 you are young and vigerous

at 50, you are a marginal senior... lol

Wouldn't you like to feel someone 22 yrs younger?

RE: Dating tips from those who know.

And you do this how?

And besides - it is usually date 5 or 6 where it all comes off the rails anyway...

Check and check on the first two daggy...

What other tips have you got?

RE: what an absolute laugh

You've never worked in sales... we thrive on knock backs...

Lol... I have this 68 yo sales colleague who uses the volumn strategy... He gets "lucky" several times a week (or he claims to... lol) Have to admire the little blue pills at his age...

Happy Healthy Quotient

But how did you score lookin?

It seems a little funny that most of the people on a singles site have above average happiness scores... is this saying something?

(haven't forgotten about you Island Girl... teddybear )

RE: what an absolute laugh

So maybe he is working on the volumn approach?

You know the strategy where he asks a thousand women in the hopes that one will say yes? The odds are in his favour if you think about it...

RE: Australia

There is absolutely no "Proof" that sunshine causes skin cancer. Yet most of us "slip, slap, slop" because we respect the opinion of experts in medical science who tell us sunshine "might" cause skin cancer.

The experts in climate science say we are causing climate change. Their predictions have been correct so far - which "prooves" in the scientific sense they are correct. Why would we not listen to them?

Can you find even one climate scientist who says we are not causing climate change? One peer reviewed paper that disputes it?

I don't have any pets either... Unless you count the dust bunny under my bed...

RE: Australia

I think I may be going against the accepted veiw on this site... but...

The Intergovernmental Pannel on Climate Change in their 1980 report(yes thirty one years ago) predicted that unless immedeate change to carbon emmissions were taken, the next 100 years would see increasingly extreme weather events; both warmer and colder summers, colder and warmer winters, and increasing droughts and floods. (Not long after their report was issued was the first Somalian drought and famine, of Bono fame...) but overall the global temperature would increase...

The result was that most governments (including the US) accepted the science, and the Kyoto accord was penned...

And the global temperature has increased since 1980 0.55 C on average... (http://co2now.org/ and an american government site) Almost exactly what was predicted in 1980 (they predicted 0.65 C but that was before the invention of Personal computers...)

I would love to see a peer reviewed science paper that refutes climate change, or the human cause of it... But I haven't ever been able to find any... (I'm not talking about political propoganda, but real science... )

Now I remember as a kid getting told that littering was bad. And I thought, what does it matter if I, as a little kid, throw my bubble gum wrapper out the car window as we are driving?... The argument about our contribution to CO2 sounds just the same... what does it matter? It is just a little litter on the side of the highway...

Well you are just a little below the Aussie Average of 56... So maybe one or two hugs would make it right...

But a few drinks a week are a plus... they ward off heart problems, high blood preasure, strokes, and cancers... maybe a few glasses of red wine, and you would hit 100?

Just wondering...

Apparently pets are a plus?

You are welcome... and I got burned on the fruit and veg question too... other wise who knows...?

Who knew that being a single non-smoker, without kids would have these bonuses?

But, I think Islandgirl needs a hug

Interesting survey on line (well, I found it interesting) measuring your health and happiness quotient. ( )

Apparently the Australian average is 59 (on a scale of 1 to 100.)

It also says men are happier than women (slightly) people who work part time are happier than people out of work, or people working full time.

People with no kids at home are happier than those with...

Married people are happier than single, divorced, or widowed...

And the older you get, the happier you get...

Anyone want to try the test and post their score? (apparently I'm delirious at 86...)
