RE: Forum Rule #17

The ones about the forum rules really get on my wick. laugh

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

That doesn't surprise me really given how old the traditions in India are. I'm reading a book by an acclaimed scientist at the moment who reckons the aincents had a better grasp of spirituality and it's place than we in the modern world.

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

The Trimurti (English: ‘three forms’; Sanskrit: ?????????? trimurti) is a concept in Hinduism "in which the cosmic functions of creation, maintenance, and destruction are personified by the forms of Brahma the creator, Vishnu the maintainer or preserver, and Shiva the destroyer or transformer," These three deities have been called "the Hindu triad"

Eh what's that got to do with christianity?

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

The Indian came up with three in one by adding chips, rice and curry sauce together, and in my view it's a tasty treat. laugh

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

Sorry but that stuff gets my back up. crying

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

What's this your day off from the concentration camp? I have better things to be doing than translate nonsense. You germans are lucky the fighting in europe was over by the time the yanks started dropping atomic bombs or you would be known as the german forest.

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

Jesus was present from the beginning of all that is. Jesus was present at the creation. Jesus is God Incarnate, the Son, coming to restore the broken relationship between God the Father and all of creation.

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being. (Albert Einstein)

A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, of the manifestations of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty - it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute the truly religious attitude; in this sense, and in this alone, I am a deeply religious man. (Albert Einstein)

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.frustrated

RE: Atheists VS God Believers.

Christ said I am the way and the light noone can come to the Father except through me. If God doesn't exist what was he talking about?doh

RE: Loss and coming to terms with it.

You need to talk to your GP he can prescribe you something to help take the edge off the way you are feeling. And see a psychiatrist who would specialise in depression and mood disorders. They are the top of the chain for people who are suicidal or self harm. help

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Britain and Ireland

That's only recently though. I mean they had to be under direct rule cos the loyalists wouldn't allow the nationalists a look in. the human rights breaches were appalling.

RE: Britain and Ireland

No republicans want to be part of Ireland and celebrate there irishness as patriots, unionists want to be british and celebrate their britishness. I feel for my fellow countrymen having to be involved in a war and live as second class citizens in their own country because protestants aren't having it.

RE: Britain and Ireland

I would be extremely wary of them, but willing to give them a chance. I have been to Belfast on numerous occassions, I used to go up there drinking a lot about 4 years ago.

RE: Britain and Ireland

No She's in the minority.

RE: Britain and Ireland

I mean unionists, the majority of whom are protestants. The orange order only allow protestant members.

RE: Britain and Ireland

And you're worse. I just take the people who committed the dublin monaghan bombings as i find them. What are you smoking? Last week they're political leader called the tricolour a foreign scum flag. That's my point.

RE: Britain and Ireland

I don't judge them on their religion the fact they need to march down the road and celebrate william of orange victory over the french army in the 16th century. They are unionists, they hate catholics and they hate republicans.

RE: Britain and Ireland

RE: BREAKING NEWS: Israel's Attack on Humanitarian Ship to Gaza.

Yeah but it's only nonsense and in no way just. You don't think that needs an update?

RE: What if

Not if they're paying tax into the states coffers. Timely boost.

RE: What if

While thet're pulling out of ireland will they pull out of the north as well and take the army with them?

RE: Jesus Comes...

OK I made that up about the vatican but surely you can see it's a theological hypothesis and not a real place.

RE: Jesus Comes...

According to the roman catholic church hell does not exist. It's a fabrication so there is no one in hell. What is the 4th dimension? According to the bible God lives in the firmament of heaven, above the universe is a glass like river, above this is the kingdom of God.
