I had a column written about me in the Irish Times once. I've worked professionally in 3 sports. I had a piss with Ronnie Drew one night. I can't wear shirts as a rule as I have a very big neck. (Cue smart comments)
I know little of him as well but a quick Google search shows his record as anything but a sweet natured pacifist. He stood trial in Germany over charges for attacking soldiers but was extradited to America where he served time in the US for attempting to buy missiles and was deported from the states in 1996. In 1981, he shot Sammy Brush, a postman who also happened to be a part time soldier. The man happened to be wearing a bullet proof vest (Which saved his life), returned fire and wounded McGeough. He went on the run and ended up in Sweden, where he was refused POlitical Asylum.
In 2007, he was convicted of attempted murder and IRA membership and was sent to prison. He has claimed that he has a royal pardon for his crime, which was rather oddly granted to him 16 years before he stood trial
There wasn't any Orange Order Parade in Dublin in 2006, proposed or otherwise. There was a "Love Ulster" parade but it wasn't held after various republican, gurrier and other scumbag elements rioted in Dublin city centre causing huge amounts of damage. The only thing the UK marchers broke that day in Dublin was wind
As a side note, the Union Jack has flown over the GPO several times in recent years and it has never caused a ripple before
Of all of Ireland's many sportsmen and hero's, Sean Kelly is one of the few who is revered worldwide in his field for his excellence; Eamon Coughlan, Dr. Pat O'Callaghan, Arkle and more recently Brian O"Driscoll can step up to this mark as well
Here is what you can do; when you book your train ticket, ask for a return ticket to Sydney Parade and get a Luas add on. When you get off at Heuston, walk out the door and onto the Luas and get off at Connolly and onto a DART and that gets you to the hospital, give or take a couple minutes walk and all on the one ticket.
I remember you well; you were the girl who was on the dole and who got breast implants and ended up pregnant afterwards. It was like something out of Jeremy Kyle
The no claims protection on policies is a cute trick from insurance companies as it won't be honoured when you move to a new provider having had a claim on your old policy; you are effectively paying the old company a loyalty clause on your old policy.
The best bet for anybody is to ring around each year to as many providers for a renewal quote, making sure you ask about excess levels (These can vary wildly from €100 to €1000), windscreen cover (Not all policies cover windows while a few again will even lose your NCB on a window claim ), recovery fees should you ever need a pick up late if you break down and legal protection if you are ever sued, God forbid.
No, I don't know about programming (Not that I said I did) nor did I give you any opinions about same but about the last place you should ask for help with something technical or specialist is on a forum like this, which by it's nature isn't all that likely to have programmers sitting around to ask for help.
My only hope is that your tutor isn't on CS and marks you down for trying to cheat on here
I agree with this. Those who emigrate for whatever reasons are taking the choice to not be here and it's asking too much that people who don't contribute to or reside in the State can have a say over those who do live here; it's a throwback to the days of home rule being abolished IMO as people who have little to know real hand knowledge will have a say in who does what. Yes, I know that people will counter than many emigrants left for valid reasons to find work but there are hundreds of thousands who left Ireland to go backpacking, living in warmer climes, love/relationships; in other words they didn't leave for work so I can't see what entitles them to a vote.
In the same way, I welcome and support those non Irish that reside here and can vote in local and general elections
The vast majority of venues have CCTV in now all the time, mainly for insurance purposes. Under the 2008 act, any licenced venue with an exemption on it's licence must have recordable CCTV which is accessible to the Gardaí at all time; however your friend must act quickly to ensure that any footage can be sought before it's deleted or disposed of.
As an aside, your friend could approach the venue to notify them of an incident; again it needs to be done ASAP.
