ok so the question is about slapping and not beating someone to a pulp so I will answer it accordingly.

Were you slapped as a child?

Never was slapped as a child or adult by either of my parents.WHY ?? not because I was perfect but because my Mam hated this form of punishment and I can not remember any of my siblings ever being slapped.Did my Dad roar and shout hell YES.


Do/Did ...... you slap your children?

Yes I remember slapping my first two a couple of times on the bum,and threatening them with the wooden spoon which turned into a game for them.They would love me to chase them,I would hear them giggle, but not too sure about the third,we had the add campaign come on about the slapping then and I must admit to these adds making me feel a bit guilty for these slaps ..As they got older in their teens I found grounding them and the removal of the mobile phone for a day usually did the trick.I remember they would also joke and say they would ring childline.

Are in favour of slapping or totally against it?

I think the slaps I handed out did no damage in any way,my children well mannered and well grounded.I think the odd slap did no harm.If I had no children and was judging from my own upbringing,I would probably be on here with the finger wagging saying my Mam didnt hit me and you shouldnt slap your children.So until you have your own ,you cant really say for certain .I have asked my girls about the odd slaps they got from me ,did they think they did them any harm, they say no...but they do remember them....
I have a wonderful relationship with my three children.

Went on date at Christmas a nice gentleman from fishy site,no spark.

Had a little one on one with fellow female cs'er..also at Christmas

In January met a lovely Dutchman for two dates was over on business...pleasant company ..no spark either.


Then had a hot weekend with my toyboy and friend

Watched an article on news the other evening about a family in Haiti that had one of these houses built,although they were very grateful the owner a young guy could not find any work,surely it makes sence to let these people help themselves by putting them to work on these projects.

As for the hand out to help them ,yes I think we should donate to these causes.
