You mean with a stubby of in your hand, sitting on the couch, in your air conditioned living room, blowing refreshing and scented cool air over your scalp and munching on chips - -while Tibetan monks are being massacred?
I agree the US History is far from untainted. Bushs reason for entering Iraq was a lie BUT at least it got rid of Saddam and his cronies. Which was long overdue.
If only the Iraqi people would realize that. I suppose the simple and educated man who felt suppressed would.
What annoys me is, TV-propaganda (in Movies "Stealth" and series E-ring, JAG etc) shows how SMART the military is, and in the end they could never just locate Saddam himself and nuke him by a single attack.
However, there is pressure on the US with respect to Guantanamo, and its not the US who are holding the games right now!
Right, so do many nations. But we are talking of sudden attack on peaceful Bhuddist country, 40 years of suppression. China is sooooo huge, why bother? Why bother with Tibet?
China that large in land size it would have four time zones.
As long as England's and Germany's people let their respective governments get away with it, so what?
The States never have suffered a real war. A gruesome war on their own soil. You compare Perl Harbour or the Civil war, the latter of which help found a strong nation, to being attacked for NO reason, and invaded with whats going on in Tibet.
I understand your sentiments Agman. Well said with respect to whats behind the Olypics.
But isnt it the same thing as raising a child, a child who is naughty; if you dont tell it off, it will over time disrespect you, as well as society in later life.
If we want China to fit in, they have to be told there are rules, limits in living together.
I dont think with ignoring whats going on currently its for Chinas or the worlds best.
They might come to the decision to host it in Greece forever, which I'd find boring, because I do dig the different locations, and it brings prosperity due to employment and tourism before and after.
When China was picked, I am certain it was out of economical reasons.
I find it more than brazen of the Chinese to start on Tibet now.
Should we continue with the olympic games in China?
What a LAUGH! You are just so mad!
