RE: Ladies .... Tell Me .. Why Do

That's so lovley to hear and wish you both a long and happy life, it's sounds like you are in for one fantastic ride. yay

RE: What's your way of knowing some one

Nodding my head while reading this. True about filling in the gaps of the picture the way we would like.

I've also met people that have become friends and have been pretty much like I expected and we've had a great time meeting. Generally enjoying much more in person.

Potential partners, I've learned the hard way, needs a fair bit more assessment before diving in.

RE: What's your way of knowing some one

I think with online, even if you think you know what someone is like and are pretty sure in person will be ok. It's just not always the case.

Bit like shopping online for clothes, you never really know if they fit until you get them.

Someone said to me, and I think it's true, that people tend to only show the lighter side of their personality online and more of the grey and dark areas are generally seen later.

So really have to get to know someone first by spending time in person and seeing how they live - very important - to know if you will be compatible.

That's beautiful bouquet

RE: Ladies .... Tell Me .. Why Do

I think some are lucky when they find a partner who they are very compatible with. Both very aware and sensitive of each others needs. It's beautiful to see that.

RE: Things you shouldn,t do but you still do them anyway

Alright, well here's a case for carrying sterile wipes in my ever expanding handbag luggage. sad

RE: Ladies .... Tell Me .. Why Do

Well, I'm not sure about this new agey stuff either, but I believe it's possible to meet people who are very compatible with us and feel familiar in ways when we meet. The instant attraction thing.

I think we've all experienced this to some degree and I certainly believe it's possible to meet people even more compatible and familiar than we already have done.

So as I say to the universe, "bring em on!" heart wings

RE: Ahhh home at last ..

Hey, congratts on your find Rob! yay

RE: all aged pensioners should carry a gun

People on farms, protecting their assets, very hard to say what is the best for them under their circumstances. Better to find out first, more about their experiences and why they are taking the measures they do.

RE: STRALIA DAY

Yeah, it's not such a great thing to be celebrating. I think a lot of us have an idea that we live in a place that's pretty good by world standards and are grateful for that, without having a day to remind us.

My thoughts are to just let the day pass, just like any other day.

RE: all aged pensioners should carry a gun

Yeah, it's something we have to consider for sure. I live in an appartment, not everyone's cup of tea though. It's not fool proof, as the doors open to anyone during working hours so the delivery guys can get in. After hours you have to have a swipe card to get into the building. Also living a few stories up gives a fairly good feeling of security, at least at night.

RE: Create your own music...

Audacity is another good free program for sound editing. Has a little learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it's easy to use. Used it for cutting bits out of tracks.

RE: Re: serenes randoms

Yeah, think they're crazy to ride those things help

RE: OldBushy's trip cancelled.

Shame that you had to cancel Bushy. Cars are not cheap for anything to go wrong with. Are you planning for another trip this year?

RE: do you think or want to reach this far

Lovely that your friend is enjoying a long healthy life!

Who knows what comes into our bodies, that we don't purposely allow and may do damage in the future. But just doing what I want today, being happy again, is priceless. yay

RE: do you think or want to reach this far

Lol, yes, Greenland is likely not called that for nothing. Was actually green at some point in the cycle. :D

Never worked on a farm but had friends with a cattle farm, they seemed to do things right as not many bad smells there. Though had the pleasure one day of driving past a small pig farm in the rural area north of Wanneroo. oh I so regretted having my window down, that smell hung in the car like something evil.

Why why why do people allow this to happen. I don't get it. Keeping animals cooped up in their own muck is just cruel.

Yeah, having rural areas just outside of suburbia are not great for sweet smelling air lol. Gosnells sounds like a southern version of Wanneroo, or vice versa.

RE: Re: serenes randoms

Hey Martia, I felt the same about green places, coming from Perth's dry summers. Then loving the tropics in Asia, so green and healthy.

Brisbane is green, getting decent rainfall during the summer and temps so far have been mild, thankfully :)

Locals tell me it can get quite hot, but haven't seen much of that yet.

Good luck and hope you guys can find a place you will enjoy being in.

To be honest i'm enjoying puffing away and have no intention of giving up, for a little while anyway.

I've decided also that drinking is ok as well. I don't want to blow my budget doing it all the time, but when I do it's fun.

Isn't that the purpose of being here, to enjoy life. Find things we enjoy. Breathing smog from the city is probably not healthy either, but I love living almost in the centre of it.

RE: Strangest or most disturbing film you have seen

The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover.

Very macarbe and disturbing stuff, was being given glowing reviews at the time it was released for it's visual/ artistic beauty. Though had no idea how violent and horrible it actually was.

Good that you spread yourself around the town and had a fun night. Tho sounds like it's the Craigie this year, all the way. cheers
