Yes I understand where you are coming from. Have found also that you can go to country Australia and the culture there is different than from the city.Culture to me is not so much a racial thing but more a learned behaviour.
No matter where or with whom, I try to get to know the rules within the culture by observation and questioning and have never found a problem.
Bottom line I guess is....we are all created the same....breathe....love...laugh...cry.
i remember only just to well the long ago iambic hell the sleepless nights with laughter and friends even giving up some long awaited weekends but the people met are all a big part of my ever expanding loving heart
One thing really worries me about this post Tookey.
You say you want your inter racial marriage to be cool. Are you married.....in a relationship?
If not then how do you predict who you will meet and fall in love with....or do you have a predetermined idea that you will only marry someone because their skin is a different colour.
What if you dont meet someone like that....will you then remain single?
The most important thing though is......does it really matter what anyone else thinks of it. You and the person your with are the only ones who can decide if it is cool.
