Basically, except for a couple of girls, I have always dated older women. But some of 'em were just a few years older than me, so I was not a big deal.
Language barriers? Maybe 20 years ago. Now almost everybody speaks English as a second language, so that's not the main problem. We do not need a passport neither to travel throughout the Schengen Countries (plus Ireland and UK). The main problem is the total MESS we're having with the European Commission: it would had been kinda a Fed Gov, but it has miserably failed. Anyway yes, I agree with you: we should have a federal legal system. But I'm sure it's just a matter of time, it's coming. They just have to decide how to solve the tricky part: having some kind of control over the European Central Bank. Cause those guys are totally crazy.
Well, actually it has always been a matter of cooperation. That's what history tells us. I don't think it's romantic, I believe it's just a fact. Human beings are great when they can get over their personal interests, and decide to assemble to build something together. Please let's live that damn competition in the job market, which is already full of stressed men and women trying to frame and get down each other just for $20 more in their salary.
I agree but in the other hand, you should even find somebody who like you, at a certain point of your life. Men and women are meant to be together, and cooperate (for surviving).

It is plain to see to me: in max 10 years from now, Europe will be totally federalized. Even right now, local govs don't have any more effective power: they can be removed or changed in a blink of a eye, according to ECB's will. The Euro currency is just part of the big plan; and you can bet it will survive, 'cause they want it to survive. Talking about Germany: they basically have been cannibalized EU domestic consumptions since 1992. This is the main problem we're all experiencing.

For my experience, this site ain't that different from any other dating sites that I've been in. Yes, there are a hell of a lot of fakes and scammers, but I assume there must be real people too.
Obviously, when I said "ask for the passport" I was just being sarcastic. If you don't want to spend time for talking via Skype or phone, it's fine: you don't have to do it.
Well, that makes sense. But just remember, you can always get a Skype number (land phone number), of almost any Country, and simply say that's your real landline number. When somebody calls you through that number, you just answer via Skype and no one will note the difference. So basically there's no way to make 100% sure if the other person really lives where he or she said, BUT having access to his/her IP address. Which is not that easy (and in some Country, it's illegal or strictly reserved to police and gov). And even if you somehow manage to get his/her IP address, the scammer may used a proxy server, which displays maybe an another IP address, from another provider in an another Country. In the end of the story: just ask for the passport lol
