Thank you, everyone, for your warm wishes, cards, flowers, mail, and phone calls, it's very much appreciated. It certainly has helped to make this all a little easier, knowing that people care.
Perhaps joking around, having fun, can get misconstrued as flirting at times. Not sure, but from my perspective, I try to avoid flirting unless there is an actual interest.
Although I'll usually write that person to try getting to know them better. Hard part is getting them to write back.
I generally do, unless I think it's a fake profile. I have forgotten to reply a few times, and completely ignore the nasty mail, not that I've ever received much.
