I've seen at least a couple of threads where people wanted to give up and delete their profiles. I guess online dating is just as tough as trying to meet someone out and about. To all those who want to just give up, DON'T. If anything you can meet some interesting people on here. I've made several friends on here that I talk to on a regular basis. I think there is someone out there for everyone, so never give up.
Men definately do not know what women want. I bet if you go on the forums you'll see at least one thread asking what do women really want. I don't think we know because WOMEN don't even know what they want. So I agree, we do not know what women want.
Something else I've noticed, especially on Connecting, there are a lot of women my age who are on the rebound. Kind of sucks for me. I won't make that mistake again.
Well when we first started dating, I told her about my concerns. That I didn't think she was ready for a relationship but she seemed ok with it so we went about our business. Well we broke up last Tuesday. She says that she's going to stay single for a year or two. Not sure that will actually happen but I still care for her. After all, I've been friends with her for over ten years and she's still a dear friend of mine.
Has anyone ever had decent relationship with a woman coming out of a bad relationship. My ex-girlfriend and I had problems with this. I was always living in her ex's shadow who treated her horrible. I treated her very well which she admitted too but there was always the element of fear that I would turn out to be him. Any other men on here experience this?
For years I never made the first move. Yes it had to do with my confidence. At some point though, you just have to put yourself out there. Being single is fun for only so long. Sometimes you just have to man up and take a chance.
Aside from the murder of his family and his death another part that is so sad about this, is that he legacy as a wrestler will be tarnished. He was definantly a shoe-in as a Hall of Famer.
Everytime we hava a presidential election I take one of those online quizes. It asks you questions and matches your answers to the candidates. I matched up with Mitt Romney the most.
Hey I loved that. I just don't want people to get mad at me. I'm just commenting on the forums and suddenly I'm Public Enemy #1. I want people to understand something. I do not think all women choose looks over personality. Most of the women who do are young women. I think as you get older you learn to appreciate personality. Everyone knows looks fade. It's important to be in love with someone for who they are and not simply for their looks. It just bothers me when I see women do that to themselves. You know I understand the need for a physical attraction, but some people are simply shallow. That's the point I was trying to get across. I didn't mean to cause such a mess.
I have listened to everyone's opinion. If you read all my post you would have found that I had stated earlier that I believe most of that mentality with women choosing looks over personality was with young women. I never said ALL women act like that. All I said was that a lot of women do. A lot of women does not equal all women.
I Guess Online Dating Isn't Easy Either
