Try reversing your profile, put your dislikes first. Define some of the things like "a**hole" for a potential person to read. Try that, it'l definately weed out more undesireables.

Yup, I run into a lot of this as well, especially in the "friends hangout" type threads. Personally, I think they should use a IM that supports a group conferance/chat type thing.

Nothing sucks worse then running into clickish type people. But hey, maybe they just haven't moved beyond high school.

Once I'm comitted to it I'm committed to it, but it doesn't mean i'll stay in it with blinders on. So its both at the same time, at least for me. Look around at the relationships you see everyday, there is wisdom in both parts of the question and sucess or failure does come from both approaches.

I put no validity in a pic what so ever.

And to answer the question here are my reasons why.

A: no, but i prefer not to have one posted because I'm not interested
in overly shallow people. Granted looks are important, but a
pretty face has more often then not, compensated for a shallow
heart. You can tell when a person is trading on their
attractiveness because there is nothing more too them and that
becomes all to apparent, when their conversations have no
substance what so ever.

B: after seeing images of how a person really looks as opposed to
their glamshot type image, it kinda builds a case for false
advertising.

C: yup I definately think thats a definate reality on an internet
dating site and hence, no picture and the curious blanks, either
on the profile or in conversations.

D&E: It to easy to get a webcam take a snapshot then post it. There
are help files to be found on most if not all sites.
