I always post a picture, but one guy told me he did not because he was afraid of being judged on looks first. He wasn't confident enough in his looks to post it.

This is the first time I have posted a pic on a dating site.. I have been more worried that people in the small town I live in would see it haha but I only come here for the forums so I thought stuff it and used this pic. Certainly not my best pic but it is a pic and it kinda hides me a bit so I figured it was a good choice

I personaly prefer a pic in a profile. But I also will not reject someone if they don't. Just as long as later on as I get to know them I get to see what they look like.

I`d like to think I`m not so shallow as to judge by apperences, but I suppose physical attraction is just human nature and a biological thing 
If I really wanted a picture up, I guess I would put one up. I don't have a camera right now (someone borrowed it). But I would think of something. I guess it is not that important to me. I can and have send a picture via a cell phone camera.
Someone, a woman (imagine that) suggested that I was ugly and that is why I didn't have a picture posted. That doesn't really surprise me that she would automatically think that. Funny thing is that she has a picture up and my thought (although I didn't tell her) was...now that's calling the pot black!!

I put no validity in a pic what so ever.
And to answer the question here are my reasons why.
A: no, but i prefer not to have one posted because I'm not interested
in overly shallow people. Granted looks are important, but a
pretty face has more often then not, compensated for a shallow
heart. You can tell when a person is trading on their
attractiveness because there is nothing more too them and that
becomes all to apparent, when their conversations have no
substance what so ever.
B: after seeing images of how a person really looks as opposed to
their glamshot type image, it kinda builds a case for false
advertising.
C: yup I definately think thats a definate reality on an internet
dating site and hence, no picture and the curious blanks, either
on the profile or in conversations.
D&E: It to easy to get a webcam take a snapshot then post it. There
are help files to be found on most if not all sites.
