Actually, I received my Associates in Business from Niagara County Community College, but am going for my Bachelor's in Science with a concentration on Death and Dying. I am planning on being a Grief Counselor for the terminally ill.
I am matriculated into a program with Empire State College and do independent study. It isn't really online -I have the materials, have teachers that oversee my work. I do papers and email or fax them in , meet occasionally. They grade me at the end of each semester, but I do all my work at home. A few I won't -I have to take a semster of a language so I have a stdy group scheduled this fall for Spanish.
Great to have you back! I am afraid I am getting where you were. I have two big papers to write in the next few weeks and am feeing overwhelmed. My kids are driving me nuts and I just took on more responsibility at work.
I just saw Tulsa up there, but he wasn't smiling, lol.
I thinki some of them may pop in from time to time but are too cowardly to post, lol!
By the way, Bill, Cherie, Jax and I had alot of funny boozing it up a few weeks ago. Are you trying to rub in our faes you werent with us?? You could have came, anyone was welcome!
I also learned that you can never know too many things and there is a wealth of knowledge you can learn from the life experience of yourself and your friends.
Don't be narrowminded, thinking that you are always right and sticking your head in the sand for fear of making another mistake. Make yourself receptive to new ideas and get yourself out there.
I've got a BETTER idea, Rilly- what we'll do is do a little role play.
You can be a salesman, because, well...you are.
You can be a door-to-door saleman and I can be an unhappy, frustrated housewife. You can come to my door trying to sell me some such thing, and we will look ito each others eyes, and the moment will just become too much for us....
You throw your briefcase down and pull me into a heated embrace...oh, you can use your imagination.
Well, you gotta understand that the "Dukes of Hazzard" roll in the hay scene (which of course I would wear my Daisy Duke's for)was just supposed to be a preamble to our "From Here to Eternity" scene on the beach.
There is a little stretch of beach not far from my house out on Lake Ontario that I love to go just to unwind and put throughts together. Occasionally I love to spend those moments with someone special.
A blanket, a bottle of wine and some good conversation in the moonlight, as you gaze out at the sunset, and hear the wave softly hit the shore...
That was so very touching and sweet of you to voice what we in our hearts think about you and everyone else here.
Cherie,
We are all human and as humans we are boiund to make mistakes. Just get back on the horse and ride, babe (although maybe not the best advice to give you on that subject, lol)!
Roy and Rilly, you are both scaring me. Methinks you need the love and assistance of a good woman before you staple yourself to death or burn your house down with your microwaves, lol.
I agree. Putting aside the alcoholic/drug abusing/abusive husband (yes I was married to that), I think we women have to be fair and take a little ownership for what goes wrong in reltionships.
We have to be willing to bite our tongues at times, not let things escalate (take that walk when it gets heated), be willing to say I am wrong, and give them their time and space.
And that works both ways -we have to both be willing to work at it and be true partners.

I am single because, silly me, I am still holding out for that lovely man who will be able to keep me laughing, be my best friend, and be able to turn me into warm jello with a look, a smile, or better yet -GASP- a kiss.
