You have only been here a short time it seems contributing Blogs and Forum posts. In that time you have no doubt gained a lot of respect... along with new friends. You only have to look at the earlier comments on this thread to realise that. However i do understand your view in regards to caring about what people say about you. Like myself. you may well be a sensitive soul, in which offensive personal insults or lies eats away at you. I have experienced this personally on other Forums in the past, and for this reason i'm careful about what i say to others as i don't wish to offend or upset anybody, even though there are times i read things in the Forums which infuriate me. I remember a saying my late Mother taught me ..."if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". And so i try my best to treat people the way the way i would like to be treated... with courtesy and respect.
I notice you have created a lot of Blogs and Threads. May i suggest you back off a little and just participate in Forums along with your friends here in fun, casual banter, instead of leaving the site (and us) completely ?. You're an intelligent and interesting woman Willow and the site will feel your absence without your participation.
Hope you can take stock and reconsider your intention to leave... remember you're among friends here Willow
I dread having to choose pressies ... although i don't mind the "Kris Kringle" way... and is more fun too. Apart from that i've got some presents mainly for the families kids. As for the rest i'm still deciding who's been naughty and who's been nice
By the way, your mind always seems to be preoccupied with something else, and so not sure how to categorize you... maybe both naughty and nice
Halloween has arrived here in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia).
I always remember the occasion when my late Mother opened the door to young Trick or Treaters one evening. They all voiced "Trick or Treat ?". My Mum thought for a moment and excitedly said "I'll have the treat please!". The rest of the family thought it hilarious, and the callers had to explain the concept of Trick and Treating to her. She soon got around to giving them some little treats and so they happily went on their way.
On a sad note, that was the last Halloween my Mum was to spend at home. It wasn't too long afterwards when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and her condition eventually deteriorated to the point where she required specialised Nursing care.... Bless her
RE: would you like to be a millionaire ?
In that case could you send her over for a trial period, and if i'm not satisfied i can send her back ? .... Please!
