Thanks a mil, mysterious. I was looking at cause of causes and Ruby is usually reliable.
Also read that One for Arthur was promising, as well as The Young Master. If I put €1 on each, I wouldn't lose much and hopefully win something back! Probably just pick two though. Thanks again!

Best Decade for Music

You're probably right galrads. The guitars of the '50's - '80s are more collectors' pride and joy now. Saw a programme where Wayne Rooney has a massive collection of guitars, yet he can't play! sigh bless him, he's not the brightest, but as long as he keeps playing good football he'll be fine, I'm sure. laugh

Best Decade for Music

Me too! Love watching TOTP2 1970s and movies/tv programmes with 70's music in them, like Breakfast On Pluto, Prime Suspect 1973.
I wanted to be one of Legs and Co! danceline laugh

Best Decade for Music

thumbs up Yeah the '50s got it all started, thanks to Elvis and others.
Diverse and colourful and outrageous and fun!

Well it looks like the '80s won with the '70s in second place! cheering

Best Decade for Music

Both decades. Saturday Night Fever came out in 1977.
1980s: Ain't no stoppin' us now...
Never give up on a good thing...
etc. etc.

Best Decade for Music

cool I remember Siouxsie. Wasn't big into punk but I liked the Boomtown Rats.
Watching a programme about Blondie at the mo on BBC4. Legend band!
Yeah, some greats in every decade. Even the '20s to '40s. Cole Porter, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole.
Shows you don't have to have been around to appreciate music from earlier decades either.
